How Much Do You Ladies Charge to Haunt the Castle? -- Departure Day up (See index

Wow Kathy! When you update, you really update. It looks like ya'll enjoyed your walk around World Showcase despite the rain. I'm taking it since there was no picture, you didn't purchase anything ooey gooey and scrumptuous from the Germany caramel shop.

Been reading your TR for awhile now, but haven't had a lot of chances to make comments of late!

Anyway, really enjoying reading about your trip! I love that your husband tries on all the hats! So funny! That's a big tradition between my sister and I too on our Disney trips!!

Can't wait to read more on your WS explorations!! :-)

Favorite hats, Germany and Italy.
Seriously, nothing from the Karmel Kuche? That's some serious willpower to say no to their goodies!

Rain about does me in, but if you can stand the drizzle, it looks like you almost had the place to yourselves...

Wow, I did not see the country specific WS ears! Love love love them!

What a fun tour, even in the rain. Bummer about being stuck in the doorway for 40 min though. I hate that feeling of time ticking away. Your sandwich looked really really good, I am going ot have to keep that in mind for the future!

Day3September182012143.jpg

I think this is my favorite. Either this one or the one in Germany. :)

did you feed him to the shark tank after that.;)

One of the many times I wanted to. :cool2:

I am digging the WS hats :thumbsup2

Very nice pics of the countries Kathy :flower3:

Thank you. :goodvibes

Loved the World Tour !!I really want to spend a lot of time in the Countires when I do the Grannie Trip !!! It is hard to spend as much time as I would like with 8 guys in tow !! They do however enjoy trying on Hats:rotfl2:

Thanks, Rosie. I can imagine 8 guys would not be too interested in shopping in the World Showcase which is what a lot of it is.

Forgot to mention !!Kyle really enjoys the Drummers in Japan , we have a hard time getting him to leave as once is not enough !!!

I love the drummers too...they are magnificent.

My husband loves the drummers as well!

ASMU/POR Dec 16-22, 2012 & POFQ Sept 8-15, 2013

:wave2:; thanks for stopping in. The drummers are such a joy to watch.

Wel, when you put it that way, how could anyone resist? :rotfl2:

I always try to be honest. :p

 So I guess it wasn't worth the 0-minute wait after all.

That would be a................. NO!

I'm very much enjoying the hat tour! Looks to me like the rains kept the crowds away so you could blitz through all of the countries!

There was hardly anyone there...we basically had the place to ourselves at times.

way to crank out the WS updates! bummer about the rain and not getting to see the street performers....lunch and dessert looks yummy....and oh the caramel shop, could spend all day and lots of $$ there :goodvibes
love to see you getting into the hat trying on fun too Kathy!

I missed the street performers...I always enjoy stopping to watch them.

Lunch and dessert were soooooooooooo good.

Can't let Mark have all the fun.

Loved the world tour!!! Looks like your rainy day was as lovely as our rainy day in Epcot. :(

It seems that every time I want to spend more time in WS, it's too hot or too crowded or too wet - one of these days, I really hope to take it all in.

D~

Thanks, D. Yes, it was a rainy day, but after that initial downpour, it was mainly an annoying drizzle with one or two little showers in between, so it wasn't the end of the world; and it did keep the crowds away. :)

Marv a crankypuss about a special Birthday diver???? Nah I think he would love it even if he didn't love the number he was turning. Really too bad they are not doing that anymore.
Kathy I would call anyway just in case they are doing it again just to be sure.

That was EX-DH. It was all I could do to even keep him sitting there. Who knew he had Singabirthdaysongaphobia. He was afraid they were going to sing. Nope just a special menu and diver to flash a sign. YEESH.
Yet another reason he is EX-DH :lmao:

I really doubt they are going to start it again; I wonder if they still do the menu with the anniversary on it?

Oh...I never thought of the ex. Now it all make sense. :crazy2:

Love all the different hats around the WS. Sorry the rain dampened the fun some. And thanks for saving me from trying the pot stickers myself and finding them to be sub-par. :thumbsup2

Yes, you definitely do NOT want the potstickers. But maybe have the sandwich in Norway.

Sorry it was a light and annoying rain. But good that WS emptied out and you could wander without everyone.
Bad news that the rain, prevented a full effect.

Just think the next time you go back the WS holiday storytellers will be there. :goodvibes

Great pictures of the "world"

Pat, I am so looking forward to the holiday storytellers....I hope we can catch several of them in our short time there.

Wow! Y'all were really getting a lot done in EPCOT that day! :thumbsup2

All of the World Showcase pictures are great! I think my favorite is Mark in the bear get-up. :rotfl2: Glad the rain finally started to go away but I hope it didn't come back. That chocolate cake looks delicious!!

Wow! You are Miss update machine today! ;)

I love your walk around the world and all those things you tried along the way. :goodvibes
Mark is an awesome hat model I have to say. We take lots of hat photos too, but you will have to wait for the Christmas calendar again to see them all. :rotfl2:

Can you imagine that out of all the movies they show we have only seen the French one :rolleyes1 and the one in Canada. :rotfl2:
Plus I have NEVER seen the stone figures at China - guess we will need to take more time at WS pretty soon.

Thanks for all the photos Kathy, I loved all the updates.

Thanks, Karin. I can't wait to see the Christmas calendar. We've seen all of the movies, but we alternate which ones we see every other year. I just wish they had seats in ALL of them.

Oh Kathy I forgot to tell you the P&P trip to Chicago end of October went very well while there !!Patti actually did the trip as her son is in school in Chicago, turns out flights were cancelled coming back due to Sandy and they had to rent a Budget van and drive back:sad::scared1:

I'm glad the trip went well. :goodvibes

parker would get along great with mark.:thumbsup2

and great with me.

I know that Mark would love Parker; maybe one day we can visit you in Indiana and you two can share that beer; or better yet at a Cubs game.

did you feed him to the shark tank after that.;)

I have a feeling the thought at least crossed her mind.

Wow Kathy! When you update, you really update. It looks like ya'll enjoyed your walk around World Showcase despite the rain. I'm taking it since there was no picture, you didn't purchase anything ooey gooey and scrumptuous from the Germany caramel shop.

Actually, he did purchase something, but I didn't take a picture because it was raining. He got a caramel dipped pretzel and carmel candy. He thought the pretzel was okay, loved the candy.

Been reading your TR for awhile now, but haven't had a lot of chances to make comments of late!

Anyway, really enjoying reading about your trip! I love that your husband tries on all the hats! So funny! That's a big tradition between my sister and I too on our Disney trips!!

:welcome::welcome:Thank you for posting; I hope you enjoy the rest of the TR.

Favorite hats, Germany and Italy.

I liked the hat from Germany too (but wish they had the one he tried on last year...should have bought it). He got a pretzel and caramel candies.

We did basically have the place all to ourselves. We were wet, and my hair was a disaster (one day I forgot to bring a brush or comb to pull it back), but we had a blast.

Wow, I did not see the country specific WS ears! Love love love them!

I think there was only one or two countries where we didn't see the country specific ears.

I kept praying the rain would stop as I knew it was our last chance to be at Epcot for this particular trip.

I think this is my favorite. Either this one or the one in Germany. :)

Doesn't he look cute? :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

One of the many times I wanted to. :cool2:

Oh my....well, the fish would have been well fed. ;)

The Panda hat pictures is my new favorite. :thumbsup2

Great tour of WS so far, too bad that you couldn't get it all done. That's what 'next trip' is for though. :goodvibes

It's crazy, but bad hair can totally ruin my day at Disney. I really need to get over myself!
I have gone from long to short hair in a matter of years and still haven't come up with a style that agrees with that humidity!

I really need to spend more time in the WS! Haven't seen any of the movies and haven't been in half of the countries!!

I was once told that a rainy day in Disney is better than a rainy day at home...how true! Looks like you and Mark found plenty to do during the rainy times.

I think the panda hat is my favorite so far too, are those mittens attached to the hat directly? Too funny!

Sorry that the rain cut some of the performers from your WS explorations. Its always fun to see and hear them.

Sorry that you guys got bad potstickers, I've had them before and they were tasty, maybe yours had been sitting under the warmer for too long. Things around WS can be so hit or miss.

Gosh, I know that train area in Germany well, I think we spent about two hours in Germany last trip, between the trains and the cuckoo clocks. Train are a pretty typical little boy obsession, but I think I might have the only toddler obsessed with cuckoo clocks! :lmao: I only wish I could have gotten a beer like Mark, that would have made the waiting much more bearable! ;)

I agree..I was thinking the same thing .LOL

Arribas brothers in the Mexico Pavillion! That store has lighted my wallet quite a few times.

Shoping in the Mexico market is so much fun. I think this year I'm going to get my DH some of the hot sauces they sell there. He loves hot sauces and the hotter the better.

That Chocolate Mousse cake has gone on my list of snacks to try in a few weeks! That list is getting really long!

I think the Panda hat from China is my favorite! I also like the beaver (bear?) one from Germany.

I don't think I've ever gone into the store in the American Pavilion. I'll have to make sure and hit it up this time.

We still got all the countries done, but I did meet the street performers. I think they will be the main goal of our August trip next year as I don't think we'll have time when we go in December with wanting to see all the Christmas stuff.

My hair NEVER agrees with the humidity. I usually pull it back, but was being lazy that day. And I figure these people are never going to see me again; but, then I forgot about posting pictures on the DIS and then everyone would see how bad I looked. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Oh, yes, you must...it is so wonderful there, and beautiful things in the shops and some fun stuff too (like a hat!).

Any day at Disney is better than a day at home, but especially a rainy one. :goodvibes

Yes, I believe the whole hat/mitten thing was attached.

Hmmmmm....maybe we did get some that had been sitting there for a long time???? :confused3

Little boys and their trains and cars. I love it that your DS is obsessed with cuckoo clocks.

I agree..I was thinking the same thing .LOL

They are attached (I just asked Mark).

I think this is an indication of needing a vaca to Cancun????

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: I've never been...don't even have a passport.

I LOVE Arribas Brothers. It has hit my wallet quite frequently too (think Dumbo and Tigger!).

That would be a nice gift for hubby since he isn't going with you.

It's hard seeing so many snacks on here and then adding them to the list. You don't know where to begin or where to stop. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

They don't have a lot in the American Pavilion store, but they have a few patriotic things and, of course, t-shirts and hats.

I'm going to try to finish up our Epcot day later when the boss goes to lunch. In the meantime, look at my countdown calendar:
