How Much Did you Pay Per Point

I know it's nosey question but I was wodering how much everyone paid per point.

We paid $71 a point for a 250 OKW contract with 500 banked points earlier this year.

We are happy. I met some people who paid 45 a point.


All 2002 and 2003 banked.

Do you mean all of 2002 banked and all of 2003 were still available for use? i have never heard of being able to bank 2 years of points

Probably this type of scenario:

December UY: 12/02 points banked but have to be used by 11/30/04, 12/03 points banked prior to 5/31/04, but cannot use until 12/04

We paid $67 per point for 200 pts at VWL last december, then paid $72 per point for 85 pts at VWL in February of this year. Both of these were resales. We know the prices were lower if we bought years ago, but I still consider it a bargain,especially after staying at a 2-br at VWL earlier this month!

Bought this past July. I have an October use year. I had all 2002 point available that had to be used by Sept 31. I also had the 250 from 2003 and was receiving another 250 on October 1 2004. So I guess my statement was a little odd......I had all 2002 banked. I had all 2003 available and I had 250 coming on October 1.

Bought BWV resale late last May for $75 a point. Considering how much points are going up, we thought we got a pretty good deal. It doesn't look like it will ever be worth less. Or at least not for a long time.

We sure wish we'd done it back in '92 for about $50/pt (!) when we originally looked at DVC. But we're glad we finally bought when we did.

We were fortunate to find a resale in late 1999 and purchased 230 points at Old Key West for $56/point. If you factor in closing costs, it was closer to $58/point. Our original purchase was (I believe) $62.75/point for 210 points in 1995.

Our original contract cost $67 per point ($62 per point if you give credit for Magical Beginnings) in August 2000. We have added on three times since then, for $75 per point (BCV in 2002), $84 per point (OKW in 2003), and $89 per point (HH in 2004).

Then, bought at HHI for $63.00/pt in 2000..
Then, bought at BWV in 2003 for $75/pt (with MB help).
SO.....
Avg is: 62.94/pt for all the points we bought...
NOT bad, now that it is $95/pt!!!

$53 per point in June 2000, 250 point contract OKW. Let Jaki know on a Friday afternoon we were looking, she called on saturday with a contract that met our specs, and we accepted on sunday.

We paid $70 per point for a 250 point contract at VWL this past August. June use year with all 2004 points available. We just stayed at VWL in a 1 bedroom for Christmas and it was wonderful!

$72 per point for VWL...I guess that was 2001..because my first visit was Labor Day weekend that year. Right in one of those periods when Disney was ratcheting the price up. I had friends who bought the year before for $65 at BWV...think the price went to $68, then $72, then $75 in a little over a year.

Jim, it was right at the beginning of August. When Disney announced this price increase, they bought back quite a number of contracts during ROFR.
