How Much Did you Pay Per Point

Just passed ROFR on a small 30 points contract at SSR....

$75 pp plus closing works out to $87.50 per point.

For those members who purchased earlier and to be frank anytime before us I would say you got an amazing deal. I am a newbie with having just purchased our SSR last March and we just got in under the wire of yet another increase in the price of a DVC $ 1300 approx.. However, although we paid a great deal more (most of it due to inflation over the years) (so is it realy more?) we also got an extra 12 years for our purchase. We probably will not be able to take full advantage of that 50 year bonus due to old age etc setting in, but our DD and her future family will. So in that respect we are the early purchasers in an new era of DVC owners and so I hope that in a few years we having paid more will feel as good as those who had bought in earlier under the 40 year plan. Anways I am happy to be a DVC owner and know the value of SSR and DVC in general is worth what we paid. take care.

PS. We should all be thankful for these ever increasing inflationary prices. That way if we have to sell later we can be assured of fair market value for our DVC.

In 1997 we bought a 200 point contract at OKW through Disney and paid $62.50/point.

In 2002 we bought a 230 point contract at OKW via The Timeshare Store,, and I believe we paid $67 or $69 per point.
