We just got back from Disney World and we used restaurant.com certificates for TGIFriday's and O'Charleys without any problems.
Always good luck here using them, just one thing is if there is a restaurant you buy often make sure the terms haven't changed when you go to buy new certificates. We used to buy for a restaurant near me, recently they changed it to min $45 food spend and not good on weekends. We are a family of 3 and will never hit the $45 food spend.
We are going to NH for a week in a month, was able to get $60 worth of certificates for less than $6! Made sure all of them have a low food spend or you can apply alcohol to the minimum spend amount.
Question: My mom has some for a restaurant that went out of business. Can she call and exchange it for another?

She said, well, we can give you 10% off your ticket. We walked out but ended up going back in because we had two kids, it was getting late, and we had no other plan. They did take off 10%, and threw in a slice of cheesecake.Happy to see a rest.com thread going for local places to Disney. We used our first House of Blues certificate this past weekend. Waitress could not have been better, we ordered in right at $36 and when the bill came it took me by surprise for the low price. I thought Surely, they did not add gratuity and I left her a $10 additional tip in error. Yes it burned me for a little while but it was my mistake, the poor waitress had even underlined where she had added tip and I just missed it. We made her day. She was great so was the food - AMAZING. We will definitely go back again and again. Keep this thread going so we can get feedback from the locals on which ones we should buy the next time they have a better sale!!!
Also love suggesstions for places you have been to and deem great.
These are a great way to save on a meal. My DD and I have been using these for about 2 years, and watch for them to be 70-80% off.
We always watch for those in areas we will be going on vacation also.
WARNING -- We just got back from a week stay inVirginia, where my DD took along 3 Restaurants.com certificates. We used 2 without problems, and then one eve we walked up to Jungle Jims in Williamsburg, Va, certificate, with the correct address on it. Posted on their door was a copy of one of the certificates and on it they wrote "We do not accept these!"
I was a bit annoyed and ask the person inside what the deal was, and they said that these must be for the ones in Canada! I showed her that it has their address. She said, well, we can give you 10% off your ticket. This was our only problem ever, and I think they will give us a credit or exchange when we let them know.
I would call the restaurants you are interested in ahead of time to confirm they accept them. I don't doubt that all of the posters has had wonderful experiences...the first (and only) time I bought from them I gave the certificate to my mom so she could take her out of town guest out to the restaurant that I purchased the certificate for. I was really humiliated when my mom advised that they refused the certificate.
I found a local place I'd like to try, but I'm a little hesitant. Can I use three certificates at one time? If I don't have a printer, can they mail the certificates to me instead?
