Does anyone know how many tickets are being sold for Member Homecoming?

DH asked me when he was trying to make the decision between MH and extra time at VB.

Thanks in advance.:D

Well... since it hasn't sold out yet, I guess the answer so far would be less than Disney was hoping.... ;) :p

We're not going, but I hope that those of you who attend have a great time and get your money's worth. I'll have to look for the Member Gifts being sold on the black market (E-Bay  ).

Have fun!

i did get an email from dvc stating how many tickets will be sold for the mh, but that email is on my old computer, tomorrow i will boot up the old computer and retrieve that email, and will post.
i also read on this dvc board that members are on a waitlist for studios during the mh, but i think they also said okw has a few 1 bedrooms, i hope you have ressies already for that time peroid, if not if you decide to join the mh, pixie dust to you in getting a room. i also consider going, i can get great airfare, but was nerves i wouldnt be able to get to stay as a dvc member. maybe i will call tomorrow to see what is available and if they are still selling their special event tickets:sunny:

When the event was first announced, someone here reported that they were told 4000 tickets. Don't know how reliable this figure might be.

That's pretty consistent with the rumored number of e-Night tickets normally sold at the Magic Kingdom (approx 5000), and would gross DVC as much as $1.2 million on the event.

I have absolutely no idea what sort of costs would be associated with putting on these events, but $1.2 mil in revenue is a pretty nice chunk of change.

So, on the nights that DVC members get to stay after park closing, there will be less than 5,000 people in the parks?

When we stopped by Pop Century on opening day, we chatted about MH with the CM in the DVC booth. She said the tickets were limited to 1,500 families, not a specific number of individuals, and that they expected about 6,000 total guests.

6,000 total guests, isn't that the MAGIC and WONDER combined. Wouldn't it be cool to have a MEMBERS CRUISE with BOTH ships at the same time. Think of the possibilities. We really enjoyed the first cruise, I think this would really be cool. Both ships in harbor at the same time somewhere would really be impressive. NAWWW could never happen. We're just hoping for another Members Cruise.
Hope everyone has a great time at MH, we'll be thinking of you.

The DVC CM who first told me about the Member Homecoming said 4,000 tickets would be the maximum sold.

Doubt it since the event is still being advertised on the member web site. Too bad they didn't have info available at the 11 month window as it appears the DVC properties are just about booked solid.
