How many points do you own & where?

Own 170 at SS and its fine if we plan to go every other year. when kids are done then we can go back into studios with wife and I... be diligent that you want to own what you can use.

We usually stay in a studio for 2 weeks at WDW 2-3 times every other year (might change with the additional points :teeth) and 5 nights at DLR 3-4 times every other year.

There are just the 2 of us usually.....if the rest of the family want to go, we go to a 2 bedroom

We have 120 BLT points, in the process of adding on 120 at AKV and we drive to WDW every trip from Central NY. No flying for us.

We have the minimum 160 points we purchased a few years ago at Saratoga Springs Resort. By banking some last year, we are going to stay in a 1-bedroom at Bay Lake Tower in the summer since we are bringing my son who will be 1 on our summer trip. My in-laws have several hundred points and we end up sharing points for family trips too! We are going to try and get a 2-bedroom for our 2012 Christmas trip!

We live on the east coast and use mileage from our credit cards to at least supplement part of the air tickets if not all. We usually go once a year but since we have AP's we are making sure we get 2 trips in Feb & Dec. this year. I figure the money we save on pass tickets for sure will cover the airfare! Dec 2010 we actually found flights for 159.00 r/t and could not pass that up!

We will probabaly add as the grandbaby grows, but should be plenty points for us for a few years.

I love WDW, and we also plan to use points at Hilton Head, and Aulani.

We are empty nesters with a brand new (week old) granddaughter
purchased resale last summer 150 points at BWV. Took our first trip this past November at SSR in a 1 bedroom and already have booked BWV-1 bedroom- for the same time (right after Thanksgiving-although my husband may have to pull me away from our granddaughter)
I am now on the lookout to add on already I heard this occasionally happens!!

We are a family of three and we go 3-4 times per year. If going for 4 or less nights we get a studio, otherwise a one/two bedroom, especially if we bring friends or family. We have annual passes and I am a planner, so I always find a good deal on airfare... we mostly fly Southwest out of Islip, but if I can find a really good deal out of JFK or Laguardia we also will fly out of NYC. I try to keep airfare under $800.00 for the three of us.

Would love to add on again, but do not want to pay anymore for dues! I have a Christmas club account for them and pay with my Disney Visa ... we get two out of three passes free with Disney rewards points (I put everything on my card and pay it off each month)

We bought while on our Disney Alaskan cruise last June. We bought 220 BLT points. We've always used our Disney Visa to pay for everything and then we pay it off each month. I used to use the reward dollars to help with our Disney cruises, but now I'm using that money toward passes at WDW. I also recently decided to try out the Southwest Visa so we can earn free flights. I've heard great things about the rewards SW does, so we'll see how it works. My husband has his own business, so we'll use the SW card for the business and our Disney card for personal. It's very difficult for me to not use the Disney Visa for everything though. Those reward dollars have always been my guarantee that we are for sure doing something Disney for vacation. Hoping that the SW card will give us free flights so we can do Disney a little more often or for less money.

We now almost exclusively use 1 bedroom villas. When my Mom was still with us we got 2 bedroom villas. Only stayed once in a studio and that was part of a DCL cruise package. We own at several resorts where we want the 11 month booking advantage with the bulk of our points at OKW where we often book at the 7 month mark.

We originally bought 200 since that's what we could afford with the plan of alternating studios and two bedrooms for 6 nights every other year. We really wanted the two bedroom every year.

When we had a little more cash we added on another 75, so now we can do alternating one bedrooms and two bedrooms for 6 nights every other year ... or just do 5 nights in a 2 bedroom every year instead, which is what we have been doing.

Just need to talk DH into another 50 point add on and then we'll be able to achieve the 6 night 2 bedroom Magic Season stay every year at our home resort ... Then maybe another 50 points for the occasional weekend stay ...

We have 635 points, all at OKW.

We began with 190 in 1993 when our girls were 11 and 7; added on 2 more contracts bringing us to 325. I pulled our kids out of school until they reached high school so we did well in one bedrooms a couple of times a year.

Our girls are both married, and we now have 2 grandchildren and decided to add more points because there are 8 of us now and we soon may not be able to travel in off seasons.

So we're up to the 635. I imagine that'll be it (famous last words).

Ironically after spending a week at Aulani we are thinking we need another 50-100 pts.

Right now the plan is a trip every 18 months to Aulani or DW

We live on the west Coast of Canada - we use the buddy pass through Alaska Airlines (we have their credit card) and travel points from our main credit card. Spending $$ comes from my employee savings plan thru work. We are a young(ish) family and with our purchase last October we've decided travelling is something we want to do! And will make it work
