How many of you put salt on

Why would anyone want to ruin the taste??? ;)

Watermelon yes most of the time don't have to though. but apples never.

Ewwww my grandma puts salt on cantaloupe too. Grosses me out.

Most people I know in this part of the country put salt on watermelon. I don't.

I never seen anybody put salt on apples, though.

never heard of it on watermelon.....but my sister always puts it on apples. I tried it and thought it was gross!!!

No way! I'm too chicken to try it! But, my father does it all the time. I tasted his once when I was a child and it tasted like salty watermelon to me. :p :p I love the taste of sweet watermelon. :p :p

Gee ... I thought I put salt on everything! I guess I'm wrong ;). My mother puts salt on watermellon, salad and in her beer.

Some people in my family also put salt on perfectly perfect tomatos. I just don't know what is wrong with them. lol

sounds weird, but I am not a fan of either fruit, so maybe it would make them taste better.

There is a magic trick to the salt and ice cubes. I just can't remember what it is.

I never heard of it on apples but my mom puts it on watermellon and my dad did too when he was alive. I never understood it. Fruit is suppose to be SWEET why would anyone put salt on it? I've tried the salted watermellon and its just nasty. I don't get it???

the magic trick with ice cubes is to place a string on the cube. Then sprinkle it with salt and the string freezes to the cube and you can pick it up. :)
