Can't say much about footwear as all I wear at Disney is sneakers at night and sandals by day. It's Disney and I have nobody to impress. :) :teeth:

MagicPrincess, when you are there, please say hello to everyone for me!! They know me well. :) Maybe a bit too well. Most important persons to say hi to would be Miguel who is an awsome cast member and Mark Newman the Guest Services Manager for the Concierge floor. You are going to love staying there. They are all wonderfull people but I know I have said that before and I will say it again. Kinda like a broken record right?!?!?! :) ::yes::

Bambi Tamby, I think I am as excited for your trip to get here as you are! I can't wait to hear about your experience in the Yacht Club concierge. I am still questioning myself about whether or not I made the right decision choosing that resort. Are you planning to write a trip report?

Of course, I will!!!::yes::

Between me and mom_rules...you'll get all the new updated YC concierge information!
As well as the AKL and hopefully the CR Tower Club.
CM told me today to just keep trying. We're still just in the Tower, not 12th or 14th.
I'll take either one, if available at check-in!:teeth:
There's JUST GOT to be a cancellation!!!!!:hyper:

Man-o-man! I know I'm amongst my type of gals when we start discussing SHOES!!!!
I can NOT believe that someone else loves those Cole Hahn sandals! Let me tell you, being in the retail business, these little puppies are VERY COMFORTABLE as well as stylish!
The g-series came from the Nike Air and Cole Hahn merge,
and I just love them all! Usually I order them from Neiman Marcus, but I just used the link Donna provided (thank you Donna!:wave2: ) and got a couple more pair! Express mailing; should get them by mid-next week!:teeth:

dreamflight99....LOL! on the over packing! I know where you're coming from on that! ;)
Gosh....we could come up with several 12-step programs on here!
Overpacking, shoes, concierge, WDW trips.......:p

MagicPrincess ...maybe we'll see each other! It IS a small world, even at WDW! Just look for the blonde Delta Burke with a Texan drawl, and it'll most likely be moi! :earsgirl:

Majestic.....put down deposit today on our September RPC room, and CM told me that the Yellowstone Suite is available during that weekend, too!
Of course, no AAA discounts, but I had her book two nights as a
SUPER-DUPER 10th Anniversary suprise for DH!
Thinking of staying GF RPC concierge deluxe for four nights and moving over to WL into this suite for the last two nights.
Think that'll knock the socks off DH??????:earseek:

Fred....you can say it over and over.... again and again!
::yes::

This gal never tires of hearing about a "good thing"!:sunny:

Hey Bambi Tamby!!!! What do you think we should do with 2 toddlers....a lodge tower room at GF (for the xtra space), or a regular GF concierge room (for the obvious conveniences)? No AAA rates available for concierge for our dates yet, but I'm holding out hope!!

By the way, you are always so helpful to everyone with your info...Thanks!!! :wave2:

LOL! You are so sweet! Thank you!:wave2:

Do you have your heart set on the GF?
(Monorail resort IS the only way to go with toddlers!)
And when is this next trip?

Welcome to our thread, WoodysRoundup!

We (or should I say I :) ) most definitely have our hearts set on GF this trip. We're gonna SPLURGE...and proud of it!!!!::yes::

I'm sad to say that we have to wait until early Dec. :( I was troubled by the fact that CRO said RPC deluxe was not available with a AAA discount for the first week of Dec., but it is available for the second week of Dec. Anyway, I guess I'll say my prayers to the Disney gods...sacrilege!!!

Sending prayers and special BT Pixie Dust to you! ~*~*~*~*~*~
;)

It'll come up. When I made my deposit today, the CM told me that there's only one deluxe concierge room each night discounted with the AAA rate. :earseek:
Maybe you can play with your dates!
Like, you can't get it for the 1st-5th...then go night by night with the CM to see which night it IS that's keeping you from getting it!
Does that make any sense?
I.E.....maybe it's the Friday night that's already booked, but then the availabilty comes on Saturday or Sunday.
If you can be flexible, then you have that chance of getting AAA rate, or a room! ;)

Good luck and KEEP on CALLING!!!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Where's that little Dory fish?:teeth:

Spoken like a true "lounge lizard"!!!!::yes:: :bounce: :bounce:

And the Deluxe concierge room would be certainly large enough for your family!

Then I tried the BWI and I loved it. The cast feel like old friends there. It is so true that once you have been bitten it is so hard to stay anywhere else. I just can't see my self at one of the other resorts, even though I am sure they are wonderful too. The BWI suits my need and feeds my passion for being pampered while on vacation. I have worked with one planner for the past 2 years and she keeps the magic alive in her arrangements for my trips.

I just returned from my trip which was split between BWI and AKL (with CL on both). These were the last 2 deluxe hotels that I needed to stay at to compare. Previously, my last 15 trips or so, have been an GF CL. After all, I was led to believe by WDW that GF was the flagship hotel. Boy have they got THAT wrong!

I am still amazed at the phenomenal level of service that I received at BWI compared to all the other "deluxe" hotels. And as for CL, the Innkeeper's Lounge CMs, I would equate with the CL at the Ritz Carlton, the Willard Hotel, and the Greenbrier. The GF CL should be taking lessons from them. And it's not just the CL CMs, everyone at the BW genuinely seemed interested in all their guests - from the gardners to the cleaning staff. Everytime I walked through the hallways at BWI, I found myself with a HUGE grin on my face cause I was so happy to be around other happy people.

Now, some of you will say its their job, or its Disney U - they're trained to be that way - uh,uh - you can see it reflected in their whole entire being.

As for tipping CL - no, monetary gratuities not allowed. But, ladies (J, R & T) how's the grapefruit lotion? I wish I could use it but I'm allergic - c'est la vie.

I,too, can't wait to return. Please say hi to your planner for me - KerryCM - ask her if I did ok?

Okay, let me see if I understand...so if the deluxe concierge is not available that first whole week with the AAA discount, that means it will not ever become available for that first week b/c there is only one room discounted and someone else already got it ???(major run-on sentence, sorry) :( Does the same rule apply for a regular room at RPC or a room at sugar loaf? Just trying all the angles here, bear with me! Also, what about an AP discountfor RPC deluxe - has that happened before? UGH!!!!!

Bambitamby! I will definitley keep an eye out for you. I'll be the one with the hunky husband and the most adorable 2 year old little girl with piggy tails at Disney! LOL (I'm not biased or anything!!!) oh yah- and I'll be the hyper blonde that will be smiling non stop all week....with cute sandals!

Fred- you can tell me over and over how great the WL is- and I don't think I'll ever get tired of listening!!! I'll be sure to tell them all hello for you!!!

I am soooo looking forward to our first concierge experience at the AKL this August prior to our first cruise. It was because of all the great posts here about AKL concierge that I decided to book and I'm sure we will love it. (and no I will not go barefoot, I will not wear slippers, I will not stockpile food for later ... see how much I've learned already? :p

I will, however, enjoy turndown service.

mmausse....Welcome to our thread!!!!!
I am sooo sorry to have read about your horrible asthma attack at AKL! You have all my sympathies, as my DH has severe asthma, but we've been three times already to AKL, but you never know when he could end up in the hospital in the middle of the night! (we've been thru that many times....thank goodness not at WDW!):earseek:
I got a quote also from the CM about the garden suites at BWI...about the same price as the RPC concierge deluxe, and I think she said it came with a jacuzzi!
LOL! More decisions!!!!:o

WoodysRoundup.....I think you're getting it. Go night by night, if you have to. You hear about us having to split up our ressies, some nights we have to pay rack rate to keep from moving.....that's what that's all about.
There are more rooms available at the Sugar Loaf than the RPC with the AAA discount. They call it an "X" factor.....so many rooms, just a fraction of that discounted.
Hence, your chances of getting a regular RPC room and sugar loaf are greater than the concierge deluxe room.
:chat:
AP rates....now those almost (notice I said almost) impossible to get for the main building at GF, but you CAN get them on the sugar loaf. As a rule, no suites are discounted at WDW.
OK...we all set?:wave2:

MagicPrincess....I hope we see each other! And I bet that sweet little DD is the cutest!princess:

PRaffen.....Welcome to our thread and CL is WONDERFUL!!!! Stick around for more hints and tips!

I'm sure the answer is somewhere in the recess of my mind but what floor are the conciere levels at WL and Poly. My DS is afraid of elevators and will not go on them. And it may not be worth it to us if we can't get there by stairs. Thanks guys.

s&k'smom,

The concierge at WL is on the 7th floor.

The elevator is enclosed. Would it still be a problem. I wouldn't want to walk up 7 flights of stairs. It's very quiet up on 7.:D

Well, I did it. I switched our reservation for the Yellowstone Suite to 2 concierge rooms.

DH is going to buy a new bike and I don't want to do both.

Tell me I won't be sorry. We've still got the Grand 1 and the VIP tour on Monday of MK. I think I made the right decison.

I received an e-mail from Disney's special activities office regarding the VIP tour if anyone would like information. It sounds wonderful.:sunny:

Thank you florida fam but I don't think we'll even chance WL, of course walking up those stairs would work off all the junk food I plan to eat!

s&k'smom....Welcome!
Poly CL is only three floors, and ya'll could get a room on the first floor and walk up one flight to get to the CL.

Floridafam.....Good morning!have you decided what to do with the YS for your DH?
And can you tell me anything about that suite?

thanks!
