Question please? For all you concierge experts? We have only stayed concierge once, and that was at the Poly! The problem is, we are trying to plan a trip early Oct. and can't decide where to stay next! We loved Poly concierge! But, in a way I would like to try some of the other resorts concierge? I have been thinking about GF lodge concierge? But, after Poly will I like It? I would love some suggestions from you that have tried several??:Pinkbounc

I can honestly say that Wilderness Lodge Concierge is fantastic! We have stayed there 3 times in the past year and a half and loved each trip! They treat you like family and are a wonderful bunch.

Give them a shot! I am certain you will be pleased.

Mr. Mark Newman is the concierge manager there and he himself will (and has) go above and beyond for you. The CMs on the floor will do just about anything to make you happy.

We will certainly be returning.

Fred

Your views of the WL Concierge always make me want to pick up the phone and make a ressie! ~I LOVE the WL, and will have to plan a stay in a suite on CL soon. I have read nothing but RAVE reviews about Mark and his staff. I can hardly wait until we visit! After all...planning, is half (or MORE) of the fun! :hyper:

LOL! jacksmom!
I just answered your thread about AKL concierge and safari!:p

Now....we're already thinking about the WL?
Well, that's another wonderful choice.
Both of those fabulous resorts were designed by the same imagineers and both have wondeful concierge staffs!

LOL, DF!!!!
I agree with you about wanting to make a WL ressie!
(esp after reading Fred's post! ;) )
I tried for our 10th anniv, but all the suites are already taken!
The place is no doubt, a popular place to getaway from it all and relax!

Well, looks like I'm going to be doing a single-digit dance soon and I have soooo many things to do before we leave!:earseek:

Ya'll have a wonderful evening!

when are you going to start packing? I'm so excited! I can't wait to compare Boardwalk Inn concierge to Peabody club.
Looks like we won't be at Disney alone. Have a great time.
Thanks for this great thread.

LOL! Yep! Looks like we're going to have plenty of company, Byrd!;)

You're very welcome and looking forward to your concierge reports upon your return!

And you have a wonderful Disney trip, too!

I've just beginning to go through the past threads when I wanted to ask can you get an AP rate for concierage? We are at the Poly at the moment and am realizing that we may spend quite a bit of time at the resort instead of the parks as DS has lots of issues (another story!) so looking for a little pampering. Thanks.

Despite what you may have heard to the contrary, concierge rooms are discounted with an AP. The rooms are fewer and far between for the discount, but they do discount them! Do NOT believe the reservation person that says otherwise--I hear that every year until I tell them I know otherwise and they look.

On a side note, you all know about my "Who's Going" database right? Click the link in my signature. It let's you enter your dates and see who is going when you are. It's been pretty popular so far. We have close to 800 entries in the database. You can even edit and remove your dates with a password.

Fred

Thanks Tess, I plan to compare the discount I have now with an AP as soon as they come out.

Hey Fred!

Just checked your link about "who's going when" and I found alot of DISers during my week!

COOOOOOOOOL!:smooth:

Looks like I'm going to be doing the single digit dance pretty soon!:hyper:

I see your dates but they are different???

2004/01/19 BambiTamby 3 Mar 14 2004 3 Mar 22 2004 Yacht Club
2004/03/03 BambiTamby 3 Mar 14 2004 3 Mar 24 2004

Did you change dates? Use the password you selected and modify the existing ones instead of making new entries. :) If you need help, just ask! ::yes::

Fred

OK, Fred, I figured it all out and fixed it!
I entered three different times for the three different resorts with the dates of each resort!

Now....I think I'll add my June and September trip!

Like I said.....this is really neat!
Everyone should be in on this!::yes::

Maybe you could get the mods to put it on top of the page with glo's SD FAQ?:wave2:

Bambi Tamby, I think I am as excited for your trip to get here as you are! I can't wait to hear about your experience in the Yacht Club concierge. I am still questioning myself about whether or not I made the right decision choosing that resort. Are you planning to write a trip report?

I'll be at YC-concierge in about 1 month (YIPEE). Plan to take my laptop and if I can get a connection I'll send trip reports.

OK Ladies....I have a question for all of you!:p

How many of you take cute sandals to wear in the evenings- when you won't be walking quite as much???
I am trying to figure out what to pack- and I really don't want to wear my tennis shoes with my cute outfits!
Anyone have any input here!

Thanks!!!

won't be long now- WL CL here I come!!!::yes::

Magic Princess,

I take sandals to wear in the evenings.

I take sandals-Merrill (sp?) or Teva's for the parks and a cute pair of summer sandals for the evening. I always overpack but I'm not going to take as much next time.

When will you be at WL Concierge?

I LOVE shoes, so I always bring some cute alternatives to sneakers! ~My DD brought SO many shoes last summer, they required their own case. (LOL). After all, the Cruise had a lot of formal eves, and sneaks are not great formal wear (IMHO). I would bring at least one pair, depending on the amount of time you are spending in the MAGIC. ::yes::

FloridaFam~I've been telling myself that for YEARS! I too...am a terrible over-packer!! There should be a place to confess these sins on the boards..."My (Dis) name is Dreamflight, and I am an incurable OVER-PACKER!"

TTFN...DF99 :wave2:

WL on St. Patrick's Day. I'm jealous. Could you celebrate for me and all of the other Irish out there. It's a school night so I don't get to go out. :p
