How many non-cash tips should we pack?

i.e for the kids club, ect. I was thinking the phone cards were a great idea, about how many should we pack? I have 3 kids, and I am sure they will be in the kids club ALOT. LOL

I took four -- two Wal-mart gift cards and two phone cards --it's been awhile for a 4 day cruise

My DDs (7 and 11) only took two. My oldest was too embarassed to take any, and quite frankly at her age didn't connect with a CM. My youngest had two favorites and she gave them each one. My DH went with her to make the delivery and according to him the CMs acted a bit shocked at this token of appreciation.

I read somewhere on DIS there was a Wal-mart in PC that is why I choose Wal-mart. I believe we gave the phone cards b/c I knew I would use the wal-mart ones. That is why I purchased them too.

We didn't take any, and, as it turned out, my kids didn't bond with any of the kids clubs counselors - there wasn't anyone who stood out or who really seemed to know my kids (I didn't expect that - and we only had a four day cruise, but once in a while you hear about a counselor and your kid really hitting it off - I would have been disappointed not to have a card in that case). There are about eleven counselors in the Lab and another eleven in the Club - I believe the age groups in the club and lab "share" counselors.

I was going to purchase AT&T phone cards to give as non cash tips on my cruise next week. But, I was having a very hard time finding the amount of time they give for international calls. I'd hate to give someone a 120 minute domestic card and it was only worth 30 minutes of international time, so that being said, I've decided to give VISA gift cards. They are available in our local banks. I'm going to get about 10 of them for $10 each, and give them as I see fit. Another good thing is that if I don't give them all out, I can use them, I would have no use for a phone card. IMO this idea is alot better than the store card because they can use them in ANY store that accepts VISA.
