The heat down here is really doing a number on me. I knew it would be a challenge, but this has become a struggle as I've aged. We did DAK yesterday afternoon, and I was hoping to at least ride Dinosaur. Never made it and ended up just shopping and drinking at Nomad Lounge with dinner at Tiffins. An unbelievable experience! Those right there were worth the cost of admission. The staff is phenomenal! We had a blast and the food (pork belly and short rib) and drinks... I discovered my favorite drink at WDW is the Tempting Tigress. I would just go back for that. Leaving the park at 8:00 was great. Beautiful sunset and just so much nicer without the steam heat. I do wish DAK had EEH during our stay, as I would have enjoyed strolling the park in the evening. I'm kind of glad I purchased the 3-day 3-park discounted ticket, as I wasn't sure if it would be a good choice for me. We are only doing EP in the AM/early afternoon for F&W/Shopping and DHS in the PM for Batuu/HBD on Wednesday, which is EEH. We're are staying primarily indoors during the daytime hours. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, not a pool person. It looks like I'll be sticking to December trips from now on.
Checked into BWV today and our room was ready at 11:00 AM. I also got the room I requested through TP, with the layout similar to OKW. Nice BIG room with a huge wraparound balcony! Tonight it's Trattoria al Forno...but I digress.
The weather has been kind of crappy this trip. At least compared to some December trips that, for most part, have been amazing weather-wise. Have to plan around the weather most days, I know, but this is ridiculous. I wanted to do Disney Springs tonight, but the forecast is for heavy thunderstorms. What a shocker! I don't mind the afternoons, but Mother Nature, stay away from my evenings!
Maybe if I could move Flying Fish on Thursday... hmmm
On a positive note, I did get the rooms I requested both times at CCV and BWV, so there's that.
