My family and I absolutely love the Wilderness Lodge. Based purely on the room itself, which would you choose, a Boulder Ridge or Copper Creek two bedroom villa?

Depends on what you like - CC has the advantage of being in the main building so if you like to hang there a lot and like that theming you might pick it. If you like a little more peaceful environment, Boulder's separate building and cute lobby offer a more laid-back feel, so you may prefer that.

Personally I like BR more - generally the points are a little cheaper, I like the fact that almost all of the views have no other buildings or rooms - most are either just woods or lake - and it's still a short walk to Geyser Point and the busses, or over to the main building and boat dock when needed.

I'm a big 'view' and privacy guy, so I strongly prefer rooms that don't look towards other rooms or buildings. Boulder Ridge, especially lake view, are great for that - I wish there were dividers between the balconies to other rooms next door, but at least when inside the room all I see is lake and/or trees. At CC, most rooms face Boulder Ridge, or inside towards the other sections of Wilderness Lodge, unless you get lucky.

I prefer the quieter and more serene Boulder Ridge building. Either way you're not far from anything on resort property.

Two nice aspects of the dedicated 2 bedroom at BRV is the location next to transportation and the size of the closet in the second bedroom. You can fit 3 checked bags in there with room for privately changing clothes if the people in that room need it, such as with teenagers. I also prefer that pool area with the bar service.

That second closet is great - we actually used it as a separate sleeping quarters once - staying in a 2-bedroom with a 7th person who came for a few days to visit (not on the reservation). He preferred to stick his mattress pads in there rather than in one of the bedroom spaces as he could close that door and have some privacy. It's that big.

My nephew did that! He put an air mattress in the closet and slept there! He didn't need to, he had a bed he didn't have to share, but at 14.... It's been a few years and he still talks about it!

“Purely on the room” there’s no question - Boulder Ridge.

All the points above about CCV are valid but those rooms are tiny and BRV is more recently renovated.

CCV has a good sized closet in the 2nd bedroom as well, my son slept in there on a blow up sized crib mattress once. I haven't seen the one at BRV, but seeing as the rooms in general are bigger there's a good chance this one is too.

OP, I'll add that CCV has a design that's a little more modern than BRV, something else to consider. Nothing wrong with either, just whatever you prefer!

Thanks for the responses. We recently stayed in a BRV studio and loved the easy bus access and the quiet pool. I’ve been watching videos of the CCV and BRV 2 bedrooms, the BRV layout looks a bit better to me. For anyone who has stayed in either, I’d like to hear your thoughts!

Only studio stay at CCV. Was upgraded to the two bedroom, top floor of BRV. Two nights before cruise. It was great. Only negative which in unpredictable. The hallway rugs near elevators had musty smell. That was September.
