How many men are wearing crocs?

Can anyone tell me if the Crocs are good for those men with large feet? I wear a size 13 shoe and have a wide foot so I sometimes have issues finding shoes that fit well. I am hoping the crocs can accomodate my large feet.

My husband is a 13 Wide, my son is a 14 Wide, and they both wear Crocs. You are more limited in styles and colors when you get into the over 12 sizes, but they have them in the colors that most men want (black, navy, brown, etc.) Just don't make the mistake of buying them small. Crocs should fit loose. You can find the larger sizes on the website. But, it doesn't say they have the large sizes. You have to click on the color first (look at the Beach model) and then the list of XXX sizes comes up. But, it only works with certain colors, so you have to click around a bit.

I am a firm believer that Crocs are only ugly to people who don't have them. I used to think they were ugly, too. Now, I wish I had every color and style!

Oh no, no, nononononono, captital N-O no!

I'll defend your right to the death to wear them, but they aren't for me thanks!!!

LOL! Too funny! But...I felt that way before too! So did 90% of the Crocs fanatics! Like I said...they are only ugly to those that don't have them! Maybe if you had a pair..............:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I've tried them....I didn't find them any more comfortable than a nice pair of shoes....and they are hidious. I wouldn't wear them if they were like walking on clouds. JMHO

Oh, but I do have a pair - my SIL gave me a navy blue pair for my birthday..............uh...........no.

My kids and I all own several pairs of Crocs, and I just ordered dh a brown pair - I didn't tell him I ordered them. I hope he will give in and wear them at WDW. They're perfect not only for doing lots of walking, but also for situations where you might get wet - unlike tennis shoes, they do just fine at the water parks and on wet rides.

DH wears a size 13 EEEE (yes, 4E) and he has a pair. His are the ones without the holes. I think you should be able to find a pair to fit you just fine.

Women should not buy men shoes, would you like it if a man decided what shoes you should wear?

Thank you all for your answers from a guy with big feet. :goodvibes

I don't know how many wear them in the parks, but my DH wears them - he loves them!!!!

I bought my DH a pair of UK Crocs at Dicks Sporting Goods. He wears them around the house alot and said he is going to take them to WDW with us in March. My DS has a pair of Disney Crocs.

Alot of men wear them at the parks. I think they just tend to go with the darker colors instead of the loud and bright colors.

I haven't been to Disney really recently but I see lots of guys and boys wearing them around here! I've seen guys with the college logo ones too. My DS wants some and DH seemed interested when I told him how comfy they are.

I thought they were kinda ugly too until I got some Disney ones for Christmas. I'm a convert! They are so comfortable, it's better than barefoot :) And now I think the Mickey holes make them very cute!

Comfortable shoes make all the difference. Have fun. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks.

DH likes to wear them at home and in the hotel room. He wore them once to a park on a rainy day. I wore them all the time. It beats being in pain from blisters. I'm past being fashion concious. Now if a photographer is going to follow me around like Paris Hilton, I'll reconsider. :cool2:

I'm a guy and would not wear them, not only are they ugly but they look like women's shoes, so I can see women wearing them but not men.
That said, after hearing all the praise about how comfy they are I am curious if they make any other more manly pirate: styles.
Like a slide or something,
and if they do are they as comfortable.

Dh and Ds's all have them and haven't taken worn anything else since they got them. They find them so comfy. Dh had many reservations with them since they are ugly, after he slid his feet into them and walked a little he was in love:rotfl: .

He has a pair of khaki coloured ones and DS, 14 picked out bright blue:cool2: and couldn't care what anyone thinks about them. His friends have even said they are the ugliest shoes and after trying them on have gone out and got a pair themselves. My other DS picked out red ones.

I fully admit to posting this just to be a pain in the you know what....;)

but I found this on the WebMD site:

"They are very light weight and are good for people who have trouble walking," says Bob Baravarian, MD, chief of foot and ankle surgery at Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center. "They are very stable, they don't bend and twist side to side much, and they have a good heel cup and arch contour compared to other shoes."

Baravarian says Crocs have more positive attributes than negative, but they're no substitute for the real deal.

"Because the shoe is considered medical, it gets overused by people who need more support than they can get from the shoe," Baravarian tells WebMD. "It's not as good as an orthotic or a medical type shoe; it's made out to be better than it is."

And it's not made for marathon wear either, adds Baravarian.

"It's a good shoe for going to the beach, kicking around the house, going to the corner market, but they're not made to be worn at Disneyland all day long," says Baravari.

I've often wondered that....these things to be basically "foam" and it would seem that they would break down quickly. They are soft and comfy at first, but as the material compresses they fast become compacted and unsupportive....wonder if any of that is true?? Not to mention the are hideous. My kids all wear them, DS7, DS6 and DD2. To answer and earlier question they do make lots of other styles. The regular "flip-flop" style looks pretty normal.

Amen to that. No $20 pair of Crocs can be compared to a name brand pair of sneakers. :stir:

They actually do have a slide. I saw them at Dick's Sproting goods the other day. My son opted not to get those because of coaster rides he might loose them. They didn't have any strap except what held them on your feet. They looked really "manly" and not as my hubby says "girly man" with a funny accent.
