How Many DisCon 2001

How Many Dis Con 2001ers are still out and about? Since getting my job four months after coming home from Dis Con 2001, I try to hop on DisBoards every now and then. I rcvd a Christmas card from Barry (Hey Barry, if you're out there, THANKS!!) It sparked my Dis Con memories. I took all of the DisCon pictures and made a video type CD. I'm going to be in Orlando in July for the Georgetown National Institutes Conference, and I'm hopeful to arrive a few days early, or stay a few over. Closer to the time, I'd love to see if anyone else might be there during my stay.

Till then, just wanted to say hi, and see how many others are out there.

DH and I were scheduled to attend in 2001, but then he got sick and we ended up canceling. I wish we would have made it.

Oh it was so much fun!! Yes, Nancy,I met Barb. My girls just loved her!! I also posted on the Dis Meets forum and Barb & Tia responded. Seems that many of those of us that had went, have gone our own way. Planning and chatting on the DisCon forum in and of itself was a blast.

It sure was, Gerri. I was there along with many DIS'ers. I recall you and both your girls. I remember surprising one with a photo of her coming out of the restroom by Italy.

The '01 was a blast, lots of fun, a classic. '02 sort of went downhill the way it was run, illwill caused a good number to leave here, a few have returned. But the memories of '01 have persisted, and still, early December at the World is DIS time.

Enjoy your trip in July, Gerri, and who knows, maybe another DIS-Con some day in the future.

She talks about the guys with the cameras all the time when we remenese about Dis Con. The guys include**You**Ray Sharpton & Barry Horn. She got a kick out of Barry shooting pictures of Dana's Chest of drawers, open drawers

Vicky has graduated from High School and Sam is a Jr. this year. Glad to hear from you. Hope others stop by and say hi too.

My daughter and I went to Dis Con 2001, we really had a good time, we had dessert at Fantasmic and for Illuminations, there was a really great Character Breakfast as well. It was a good deal for the price.
I know alot of people had signed up but then after 9/11, there were quite a few cancellations. I was glad we got to go and was sorry that things kind of fell apart after that year.

I've thought about trying to do a Dallas, Meet. But I always check the boards after there has been one, or it's for a time that my job won't cooperate.

Dan, Vicky and I was in Chicago last year with her choir group. Took a chartered bus. Never again!! My feet were swolen twice their size and hard to walk!!

I'd love to say a quick hi to Ray Sharpton. Next month I'll be in Atlanta for a few days. He doesn't accept PM's though.
