How many days to complete all parks in Orlando? Target: 2 kids: 9-14

How many days do you think it would take to NICELY go to all the parks and visit them in Orlando ?

We have a 9 day trip coming up and were wondering if we should bother putting in 1-2 days for Miami after the Orlando region is COVERED really well for the 2 kids.

Kindly advise on number of days in Orlando for Amusement Parks ?

I think if you really want to see everything in all the parks and not be too exhausted, you must allow some restful days eg a water park or pool day in between. SO I would say you need 9 or 10 days in Orlando. We live in the Uk, have visited 5 times each for 2 weeks and still haven't seen everything!!! Good luck.

We can easily spend 9 or 10 days just at WDW, but we also pace ourselves and include some non-park relaxation time (pool time, sleeping in, etc). If we wanted to do Seaworld, Universal, etc. in addition to WDW, I'm sure we'd need the full 10 days. My sons are 12 and 14.

We took our grandchildren, ages 9 and 10, last May, it was a slow time, we were there for 6 days and did all of WDW and the two Universal parks and one non park day. We did not spend a lot of time at MGM Studios, about 4 hours, we did see Fantasmic. I had planned to go back to MGM but they wanted to swim and we went to DTD and felt since we were going to Universal that was enough. If you are going to do the waterparks and Sea World you would need to add more days. So a lot depends on the crowds and how much you can get done in a day.

I don't know but we are going for 15 days, and that still doesn't seem like enough time. I planed for all Disney parks plus both water parks, Universal and IOA and Seaworld, kennedy Space Center. With Pleasure Island and Disney Quest at night.

I need even more time:smooth:

Do you mean all of WDW? Or do you plan to include US/IOA/Sea World/Discovery Cove, etc?

Also, WDW has the water parks, Disney Quest, DTD, mini golf and lots of other things besides the 4 main parks.

Personally, if this is your first trip and you want to COVER all of WDW NICELY as you said in your post, then you need the whole 9 days just for WDW.

So, some more details please and we'll try to be more helpful(I didn't vote yet)

I have been told that the Kennedy Space Center / Cape Canaveral might also be an interesting one for the kids.

What do you think.

BTW - I noticed that there are 3 water parks in Orlando itself.
1 - disney and 2 - Univ

Which of these is best and how are they really different?

I have been to Shlitterbahn which somoene told me was #2 waterpark (its near New Braunsfels, near San Antonio, TX) and might take them there after the FL trip when they visit TX.

Can anyone give a comparative between the above mentioned water parks ??

So that we can select 1 or 2 out of all 4

I voted 10 days, only because that was your greatest number. If you're just talking about Disney and possibly Universal, 10 would work. If you mean ALL parks in Orlando, you're looking at 2 weeks minimum.

At a 'nice' pace, I'd allow:
2 days MK
2-3 days Epcot
1 day AK
1-2 days MGM
1 day Universal
1 day IOA
1 day Discovery Cove
1 day SeaWorld
1 Day KSC
a day at each of the water parks,
and at least a couple of days down-time.
Add at least a day for any other parks, such as Busch Gardens and Gatorland.

Comparing water parks, I think of Typhoon Lagoon as lush, tropical, shaded, with it's emphasis on the wave pool and body slides. Blizzard Beach is kid-oriented, fun, bright, with it's emphasis on tube slides and children's areas (more variety). Wet 'n Wild seems to be more about 'thrills'.

Disney has 2 water parks that are excellent. The third you are thinking of is wet'n'wild near Universal, not part of it. I would skip this.
If you want to do everything you will need at least 2 weeks.

Hmm.. this is what we have.. 4/16 - 4/25

reach the airport MCO at 11 am on 16th.

Question: If we were not to go at the "nice" pace as we do not have the time...

This is what we want to cover on a 1 per day basis... ("MAYBE" combine 2 - i was told MGM & Epcot could be done in one) in one day and maybe visit them again some of the evenings when some time. (Park Hopper Pass)

Universal Studios
Islands of Adventure
MK
MGM
Epcot
SeaWorld

Water Parks:
Wet N Wild
Typhoon Lagoon
Blizzard

Commentds on:
AK and
Busch Gardens

(Are they similar and how are they different and if ONE had to make a choice.. which one is the one to VISIT? - I can always take them kids to BUSCH Gardens, Galveston (Houston), TX)

Would it make sense to skip one or two of these waterparks? I am thinking which ONE(s) should we NOT MISS.

Also, if someone could advise on what would be the best place to head to if FRIDAY 16th we reach MCO at 11 and by the time we get to the rental/ hotel/ other stuff.. it might another 1.5 to 2 hours. (any traffic and time estimates?)

Which theme park would make more sense for that day?? so that we can still make the most of the remaining day? ( I will look up the calendars of the parks, but in terms of TIME to cover the park please let me know your comments.)

Thanks

So the Disney Waterparks are definitely "better" than Wet N Wild ? If so how ?

Please comment ?

Anyone else please comment on these 3 parks.

Disney puts a great deal into the 'themeing' of their parks, paying attention to details that make for a fuller experience in every way. Maybe that's what's meant by 'better'.

If you have a Busch Gardens near you, I'd skip Orlando's and do AK instead. If you have Park Hoppers or a UPH you'll be able to take advantage of AK's shorter hours and hit Epcot in the evening. I can't imagine being able to do Epcot in one day. Even two days will be at a fair speed. Epcot is really 'two parks in one', especially at a slower pace. MK is just so busy that it takes two days to fully appreciate, and it's so magical that you really want to go at least twice.

Hmm.. interesting

so which park would u recommend for the late day in to Orlando ?

if we reach MCO at 11 am.

Also comment on...

How about this:
MK
AK+EP
EP+TL/BB
MG+EP
TL/BB
SW+??
US
IofA

Does this combination work ? What kind of combines would you suggest above ? Also which places would you recommend for "evening" viewing (lighting etc) pleasures.. besides MK. I know thats one place definitely for the evening.
