My past few trips have been 10 - 14 days - and I totally love character meals so I usually pick a bunch....next trip will probably only be 5 days (during Jersey week:) How many character meals do others book during a trip about 5 days? (I don't know how I'm going to choose....I don't want to give up any) Thanks for any feedback. I know I usually over do, but I think my husband will disown me if I over do on this trip! LOL

honestly we only ever book 1 on our trips. personally i would rather go to the parks then waste too much time at character meals. it always seem to take so long especially when there are long wait times to get in.

I would guess that if your a fan of character meals perhaps 2 or 3. That way you have the flexibility to do other things while your there and its not too much.

For me 1 is usually enough. But, I have done 1 for dinner and 1 for breakfast on a short trip like that and it worked out good. You might want to see which character meals you have not done yet and do those. If there are any, LOL. GOOD LUCK!!!

We are doing a 6 day trip and I have the same dilemma as you. But since our trip will be over mother's day.... my husband and i compromised on 4 character meals. My kids are 2 and 4, I feel that these meals save me time because then we only have to wait in line for maybe 1 to 3 special characters we weren't able to see at the meals! Luckily every trip we take my husband inches himself out of the closet as a full blown disney lover!

We let each kid pick one, so we had two character meals. DS picked Chef Mickey's and since dd was only 18 months we decided Pooh at CP is good for her since she has a Pooh blankie she carries everywhere. I think they were good picks. One gave us the chance to ride the monorail and ds and dh got to ride in the conductors car and the other we had PS times prior to park opening so we go to walk down an empty Main Street---extra magic.

If 2 of my kids were not considered adults at these meals, I would do more.

Unfortunately we are going for 8 nights and are only doing CRT. :rotfl2:

Even with DDE these meals run a family of five $110. :sad2:

I would definently say do as many as you can while your kids are little. ;)

I wish mine still were.

We're probably overdoing it, as well. We're going for 5 days and doing O'Hana character breakfast, Donald's Dinosaur breakfast, and Cinderella dinner at 1900 PF (DD's 7th b-day). We're also booked for Princess Lunch (couldn't get Breakfast), but will probably cancel that.

(Also doing Hopp-De-Doo Revue and Sci-Fi Lunch (MGM).

By the way, when is Jersey week?

We are going for 7 days and I wondered if I was over-doing it by planning 3 Character Meals. But, now I'm thinking, why not, if we enjoy them? That's part of the Disney experience for us. We would be planning sit-down meals anyway, so it doesn't really take much more time. I say, GO for it. Do as many as you please. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Good luck -- :wizard:
BTW - Which ones are your favorites? We are doing CRT-Lunch, LTT-dinner, and CP. I can't decide to do CP breakfast or lunch. We've done CP lunch before but never breakfast.

I think 2 would be good. I would suggest the Crystal Palace breakfast and the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner. :flower:
