do what you want, its your wedding and not corny! it can be very stressful to have lots of BM's! I had 8 and a FG. (my sis, DH's sis, my cousin, and 5 friends) and they ALL lived in diff. towns or states, and it was a headache!

I think that there is nothing wrong with a small bridal party at all. I had a MOH and two bridesmaids. We didn't have a Flower girl. He had the same amount on his side. It was small and it made things so easy when it came to keeping up with everyone. So no it is not Corny at all....

I only had one! ...and I loved how it turned out...my husband and I both had just one person with us...just our very best friends. Plus, it made it really easy to pick out dresses!

We are having an intimate ceremony, but I will have 4 bridesmaids. It's going to be weird with only 16 people in attendace and 10 of us standing at the front. But we couldn't exclude anyone.

I have two best friends -Vicki (female) and Colin (male!!) . So I am having one Maid of Honour, and one Bride's Attendant. He wanted to be called my Man of Honour, but I think my fiance should keep that title

DFTW have been really cool about it, and even helped me tie in my male bridesmaid's buttonhole to match the maid of honour bouquet.

I got my bridesmaid an olive colour dress, and so I got Colin a beautiful stone colour suit, and a shirt that tones with Vicki's dress. They look really cool together.

I know it's controversial having a male bridesmaid, but I am so close to Colin it would have felt weird being up there without him!

So two bridesmaids I think is the perfect number! We don't have any ushers either - just the Best Man!

DF will have his bro as his BM and my brother, his best friend from high school, and a teammate from college. I say do what you want... DF originally wanted his grandpa to be a groomsman, but I honestly could not think of another girl I'd want to ask to be a bridesmaid.

I had a similar problem with coordinating the BM's and groomsmen...DF has 4 good friends he wants as groomsmen, but i couldn't think of more than 2 girls that i truly wanted as bridesmaids...so instead of having an uneven # on each side, he's asked 2 of his friends to be ushers.

IMO, whether you decide to have a large bridal party or small, it won't be "corny"...it's all about having the people you care about most proudly standing up there with you and your husband-to-be!!

2 matrons of honor and 3 bridesmaids...total 5

1 Best man and 3 groomsmen...total 4. The sides weren't even but it turned out fine. One groomsmen didn't show up. Long story with lies ... my husband does not talk to him anymore. It is sad when your friends turn out to be not so nice friends. I wanted to type a bad name to describe him but I am sure you guys can figure out what I call him.
