How Loud is Illuminations from boat?

I'm considering renting the boat for Illuminations, but I have some reservations:

My 5 year old HATES loud noises. Are there loud booms from the fireworks, or does the music drown it out?

Is the view really worth the extra money?

The view is unbelievable - but it is really loud. The first boom just about sent my 5 year old out of her seat. Once you get used to the noise, you are fine. Have you considered using earplugs?

I agree, the view is great, but it is VERY LOUD! The sounds reverberate and then echo again.

Maybe a little cotton in your child's ears might help muffle the sound.

Just so you kow you will get alot of reverb from being next to the bridge.
