How long to tour World Showcase?

We usually break mid-day for pool/rest. If we knock out the rides we want in Future World, or whatever it is called, and then come back later, how much time will we want? I know we won't be able to see it all, but how long does a country take?

Each country is different in time and some have shows others don't. We spent a whole day in just world showcase one trip trying to do everything. Now we spend 3-4 hours - ride the two rides and see the candy artist in Japan ( as those are our favorites) and then just enjoy the food and shopping.

Young kids don't do we'll here for long periods if you have that concern. And if you are traveling during food and wine festival prepare for large crowds in this area

We don't spend much time in future world, but most of our time is at the world showcase. We enjoy walking around & eating in each country.

Candy artist in Japan is no longer there I believe. We spend parts of several days because we like to eat dinner, see performers and entertainment, shop. If you just want to wander through and see the architecture of each country, probably only a half hour each. If you have kids who want to visit the Kidcot stops (or whatever they are called now) allow more time.

It all depends on what you want to do.

If all you want to do is see the movies and ride the rides, you might be able to get that done in five or six hours. But there is so much more to see in WS!

There are performers at most countries - and I swear theY purposely schedule the show times to make it difficult to see them efficiently. Or maybe it's just me. But whenever I finish watching a performance in one country, it seems like the performances in nearby countries are a couple hours later.

There's also many beautiful gardens, shopping, snacking and drinking to enjoy around WS.

I spend more time in WS than anywhere else at WDW except maybe the MK.

My DD(16) and I hit each country in about 7 hours. We saw the movies, rode maelstrom, visited every Kidcot for an autograph, saw acrobats, and did Pick a Pearl. By the time we made it to Canada, we were exhausted! We could have used 1 more hour!

When going back from your resort I would take a bus to Hollywood Studios and take the boat to the International Gateway entrance. I would then go to Canada and England then over to Mexico so when you get to France you will be near the boat back.

We spend a minimum of 2 full afternoons and evenings for WS. Assuming this is outside one of the festival periods or Christmas. During those periods we would be there for at leat a couple of hours every day.

That's about how I do it. If it's Food & Wine fest, I'm there a lot more often!

Depends on you and how much you want to do. Are you going to be seeing the characters there? Doing Agent P missions? Those can take some chunks of time. We usually get there at rope drop move to WS by 11:00 or 12:00, go to a TS meal and then stay there until closing. DD wants to see all the characters and do all the agent P missions, so that usually is not even enough time for us. EPCOT is a 2 day park for us. If you aren't doing characters or agent P, and don't care about watching any of the entertainers, to just walk it, shop or explore a little in each country, ride the 2 rides, see the movies and maybe have a drink or snack, I agree with the PP, it will probably take 5 or 6 hours. To put the size in perspective, to walk from one end of WS to the other end is almost a mile.

Well I made the mistake of only going half day to Epcot because it didn't look like it had a lot of things to do on the map. Let me tell you! Please make the most time for the world show case. There are so many things to see and eat! It is by far my favorite place to go when we visit DW.
I would say 6+ hours is good. P.s. I think World Show case opens at 11am.

It's so special you don't want to miss out! Kids will love it too.

I remember touring World Showcase when my older son was 3. We got stuck watching the trains in Germany for ages. We also spent a long time listening to the band in England while he and my 5-year-old daughter ran around and around the hedge maze. Their favourite, though, was the Dragon Legend Acrobats in China. They sat right up to the front, criss-cross applesauce, and were spellbound. (Definitely check the Times Guide for World Showcase performers.) I don't know who these little kids are who get "bored" in Epcot.

My oldest daughter, now a teenager, would happily get lost in the department store in Japan. I can only drag her out with a promise of pastries in France.

You can probably walk around World Showcase quickly. But you don't want to.

If you are going around Christmastime, I would leave six to eight hours at least...this way you can enjoy the storytellers, Candlelight Processional and other special events during that time of year. Enjoy!

We are a family of 4 and our 2 young children have always enjoyed World Showcase. They'll be 8 & 10 now.....and are heading back for their 5th trip. We always take 1 full day just for World Showcase and still never have enough time to do and see everything we want.....we always find ourselves rushing around towards evening trying to see the "highlights" of the 3-4 countries we have left.

We give WS two half days and find it's never enough. And we have kids. SInce my kids were 3 and 5, WS has easily been their favorite thing at Disney, they definitely never get bored. We are planning to spend much more time there this trip!
