How long to add on points at sold out resort?

I haven't gotten the call that it wouldn't be honored, and my guide had specifically told me that the $92 would be honored whenever my points come through as long as I got on the waitlist before July 1.

I was told the same thing. But I got $92 days before the OP shared his/her guide's phone call. Fortunate. I would call/write your guide.

Let us know. Like I said earlier I don't think it's fair to guarantee and then have Disney force this issue on the guides and and on us.

That is exactly what my guide said too when I went on the waitlist on June 23rd. Then she called and said DVC decided to change it? Guess we'll know as soon as one of us gets their points. I usually know before my guide as I check my account every AM and PM. I secretly hope she was incorrect, but it never seems to work like that for me.

Hi,

I got on the waitlist in April for 25 BCV points. I just got a call today that they came in , but I decided not to buy them . I hope I don't have any regrets. I found another timeshare to buy in the meantime, which for about three times the cost of the 25 points, gets me a week in a two-bedroom villa every year during prime time in Orlando! So even though I wanted the DVC points, during the 3.5 months wait, I found something else.

I still feel sort of sad

Oh, and the price was $95/pt., not $92/pt. as previously promised. Not a big deal, but just FYI.

I KNOW I have a post in this thread SOMEPLACE, but at 45 pages darned if I can find it!

Anyway, in my post I said that I had been on a waitlist for quite a while at the TSS. Tom contacted me directly to attempt to see what happened and it appears I just got "misplaced" when my rep retired. I don't blame Tom or TSS, I really should have called to see if anything was going to happen etc. I wanted to publicly thank him for seeking me out to see what happened. I know from past experience his firm does give great service.

(And if those AK rumors are true, I will be calling to sell... I NEED AKL!)

Interesting rumor..
I haven't heard about AK...just "hot" rumors about CR DVC, with pics from an architect's web site...that was very quickly removed within hours of being viewed yesterday.....apparently it is rumored to be a fall announcement from Disney.


Go here and look at thread #18, a person had posted the architech's web picture of the proposed 15 story, CR DVC in the shape of a "C" and a walkway to the main tower.

We called in mid-May for a 50 point add-on at BCV, August use year. We got half the points immediately at $92 and waitlisted right then for another 25. I got the call yesterday that the remaining points had become available at $95 per point. We are happy to have had the points come through.

Just returned from WDW last night and got my 50 BWV (April) points while I was there. My guide called my office and they told her I was on vacation (and since she knows I only vacation one place) she found me at CSR and called my room to tell me that I got my points that day (8/18). So am done now waiting and the last group of points took 8 weeks. I'm now the proud owner of 130 BWV points to add to my 450 SSR points. Now I have some serious planning to do. I'm done adding on for awhile, until CRV. BTW: I thought my guide went the extra mile to find me, especially since I was not staying on points because we had booked the free dining package at Pop, then got upgraded out of Pop to CSR for free!! So I wasn't even at the resort I had booked, but she found me!!

I just called my DVC guide Jim McCoy last Monday talked to him about adding 25-35 BCV pts. for Dec. use yr. Jim told me I was going to be put on the wait list and if exactly what I wanted came thru...they would let me know, sometimes weeks or months later, however, I had to give Disney a credit card number for the $500.00 deposit to put me on the waitlist. Happen to be checking out the DVC members' website, under My DVC today - noticed that I had a extra contract with 35 pts.

Guess What...Yah.....I got my 35 BCV pts already!!!!!
