How long to add on points at sold out resort?

I got my wait list for BWV September points today and it is already in the system. I was able to bank the 2005 pts and made a reservation for May 2007 for a standard view with them !!! I am soooo happy!!!

Wouldn't you know this would happen??? I checked my account today, and there are 50 points in my account.... BWV August UY. I have only been on the waitlist since June 27 or something.

Is this a problem? Well... only because I am in the process of buying a 50 point re-sale at BCV...oops. My husband is going to have a fit!

I don't whether to be excited or worried...

Oh well, I have about 6+ weeks to close with the re-sale. Maybe I will win the lottery by then.

Lots happening at MS over the past couple of days. I think I've got points on the horizon because my cc has a hold of $500 on it as of this AM. Nothing yet on my account.....but looks like more BWV points heading my
way.

UPDATE: I just got another contract for BWV. This one is for 30 points, April UY. I waited 5 weeks. I'm still on the waitlist for another 40 points, BWV, April UY.

Plus my friend just got some of her waitlisted nights for her upcoming trip. So check those cc accounts to see if those points you're waiting for are on their way too.

Oh boy I'm about to burst!!!!!! We are the proud owners of 90 (upped the 80) BWV points, March UY....

I'm trying to think of all the exciting words that they won't bleep out on me. So that was 35 days. Plus, we had an offer on one of our SSR contracts last night in order to afford this transaction. Ah blessed....so blessed.

Senecabeach, thanks for your enthusiasum! In all my excitment of getting another contract for 30 points, I called my guide and upped my waiting points from 40 to 50, April UY. (please change, tks). We decided since small contracts are working for us, it would be easier to get 2 25 contracts, than one 40, since the 40 can't be split, but the 50 can. Let's hope the next one is 50 though, as I'm running out of places to put the big blue boxes.

My guide just called me to tell me that effective tomorrow all folks on the waiting list will be charged $95 a point, even though we were told $92 a point. My guide called to ask if I still wanted to stay on the list. She said that everyone that is on the waiting list for BCV, BWV and WLV must be called and told of the new last minute change. She was not happy about this last minute change. I, of course, stayed on the waiting list, as it's only $150 more, since I'm only waiting for 50 more points. Anyone who just got them last week, really lucked out. I did, as I got 30 more points last week. My guide was checking before calling each of her people to see if anyone was going to make it through in time.

How do points for add ons go up when the value of those points is declining year after year toward their leasehold end? My points should be worth at least 20% less since I am more than 1/5 of my way toward the termination date in the year 2042. Yet it seems as if the points are nearly the same price I paid 14 years ago!

I went on the wait list for 50 BWV points on about June 27. At that time, my guide told me they would lock the price at $92 for 30 days, then the price would go up to the new price - so maybe that is the standard, but it has not been communicated well.

Luckily, I got my points within 3 weeks - so I got them at $92 and I got 2005 points that they allowed me to bank!
