How long is your average stay at WDW Resorts?

We went for 6 nights and June. It was a wonderful trip, but felt so short! I was just curious how many nights everyone usually does at a WDW Resort. Do you do the parks everyday? Do you fly or drive?

Ten days is my favorite trip length. We fly and then rent a car while in FL. With ten days we don't feel rushed, and we can build in one or two resort days to sleep late and hang by the pool.

Agree with PP. Ten days seems about right. We usually shoot for 12 days where the first and last days are travel days, so we haev 10 FULL days at the parks.

usually we stay between 6 and 8 nights. BUT our next trip will only be for 4 nights due to work and my DD college.... We will make the most of every day. arriving early and our plane will leave late at night.

We like to do 8-9 nights and we always fly. Our time is split about 50/50 between the parks and the resort. We like to spend alot of time relaxing by the pool, so we usually hit the parks in the morning for an hour or two.....head back to the resort for an afternoon swim......then head out to the parks again after dinner .

We usually stay 8 nights. But might add on an extra night. I guess almost any amount of nights in WDW is great though. With 8 full days, we spend 6-6.5 days in parks and 1-1.5 days out of parks. the 9th day is our departure day and we try to get in 2-3 hours at MK before leaving. I have to see the Castle before leaving! We are flying this trip.

Each of our trips have been 11 days including travel and we don't generally do the park those days. We fly.


Our next trip will be 13 days including the travel days. We'll fly again and not do the parks on travel days. We'll have 9 park days and two golf/spa/shop/pool days.

10 days. This year we have annual passes so were doing a few 5 night trips.

We're in CO and our last trip was for 8 nights, but eventually it turned into 9 nights because of a delayed flight. We went to WDW (just the theme parks at Downtown Disney), Universal/IOA, and Kennedy, and would have loved more time.

My 2004 trip was 6 nights, but just for WDW. We flew on the red eye from WA. It was enough time to go to the 4 WDW theme parks, plus Blizzard Beach and Downtown Disney.

My 2000 trip was a land/sea package, that I believe was 3 nights in WDW followed by 4 nights on the Magic. We may have added on an extra night to WDW but I don't think so. I don't think we went to all 4 WDW theme parks. Again, we flew in from WA to get there.

I have no idea how long my 1998 trip was. I think less than a week. Also flew in from WA.

In December 2010 and August 2011 when my family and I stayed at the Boardwalk Inn we stayed 14 nights which is the maximum number of days allowed for staying at any of the Walt Disney World Resorts.

During those trips we drove from Toronto and some days we just did shopping in the Orlando area, followed by shopping at Downtown Disney. Other days we did the parks early in the mornings and went shopping in the afternoon and sometimes we would then go to the parks in the evenings.

This coming December once again we are driving down and are staying 14 nights at the Boardwalk Inn.

15 nights is our average. We have done 14 and twice done 16. I love 16 -it's perfect for us

We normally stay 6 days, 4 days at the park, DT Disney time, water parks and we always fly.

We fly. Our trips are between 7 - 13 nights depending on the time of year. In Jan I can't get as much time off work, so the Jan trips are shorter, 7-8 nights. I also have to fit in time to see my mom who lives in Florida.
I'm off work in summer, so we spend longer vacays then, between 10-13 nights.

12 days, two of which are travel days, so we get in 10 full days in WDW with a couple of non park days sprinkled in between.

We drive, and stay 8 nights at wdw. We have done 10, and would love to every time, but with a family of 5, budget gets us back to 8. We are actually gone 12 with travel. Like driving because we can gradually come back to reality, and not just be home in a couple hours.

My preference is to stay 6 nights at WDW and 3 nights at Universal. 9 Nights/10 days is about my limit (I usually travel solo). At that point, I'm starting to miss my friends, family, real cable TV, my own bed, etc.

We always fly down, so we have to go with the airlines timetable (inexpensive flights). All of our WDW vacations are 7 nights and 8 days.....well, technically 7 days because we leave very early on the last day.

One thing is for certain though, no matter how long we stay, I absolutely hate leaving WDW. It's very depressing.
