How long is your average stay at WDW Resorts?

Because of the high cost of flights in Canada, we go for 8 to 10 days to make it worthwhile. And it gives us a chance to have one or two down days to enjoy the resort, a water park or Downtown Disney. It would be great to be able to afford to just wing down for a three or four day trip though!

In December 2010 and August 2011 when my family and I stayed at the Boardwalk Inn we stayed 14 nights which is the maximum number of days allowed for staying at any of the Walt Disney World Resorts.

During those trips we drove from Toronto and some days we just did shopping in the Orlando area, followed by shopping at Downtown Disney. Other days we did the parks early in the mornings and went shopping in the afternoon and sometimes we would then go to the parks in the evenings.

This coming December once again we are driving down and are staying 14 nights at the Boardwalk Inn.

How strange. Europeans can book for 21 nights.

Usually no less than 8 nights up to 13 nights. We fly and adding days to the tickets is next to nothing if you don't have an annual pass so it's just hotel and food that are extra.

My first few trips were 6-7 nights, my latest was 3, and we have a 3-night trip coming up. Hoping to stay for longer sometime soon.

That would be great! But most North American employers won't let you take three weeks off in a row, some lucky ones get to take two consecutive weeks though.

I always fly, and for me and my family we prefer 6 nights and 7 days, though our average vacation is 4 nights twice a year. The 6 nighter is perfect because you get that day or two at the hotel to relax, and then you have enough time to hit the parks. I think it also depends on what hotel you stay at. I prefer the deluxe resorts for my longer trips and do moderate for the shorter ones since... well I just like the nice, bigger resorts! Yes I'm a resort snob :} :rolleyes1
