How long is your average stay at WDW Resorts?

Solo trips are 5 nights. I can't swing more than that yet. I fly and use DME for those. When the kids are grown and gone, I figure I can do longer solo trips.

Family trips are normally the same but we drive. Twice I've been able to talk my husband into 7 days but he doesn't like to be gone from home for that long. He also only wants to go once every 3 years. The kids now feel the same way.

We also done as short as 2 days. We drove and that was just too much driving for such a short time.

The best length of trip that I have in my mind is 10 days but I know my husband would never, ever go for that.
So I try to be happy with whatever I can do.

26 years, over here!!! heheheheheheee j/k!! I've lived in FL for 26 years and I feel like I'm never too far from the "magic!" :)

I think our longest stay was 6 nights... when I was a kid, now we just stay 3-5 nights.

To those of you who've stayed 2-5 weeks, I'm JEALOUS! ;)

We usually stay 8 nights; arrive Friday, leave the following Saturday week. This gives us enough down time to relax; we usually take an "off" day in the middle and don't go to the parks.

We've stayed as long as 2 weeks in an off property house with a private pool and spa. Those visits were very nice as we had one day "on" at the parks and one day "off" at the house with the pool.

We've always flown because of distance and always rent a car. But this year we're driving because we moved and are less than 7 hours away from Disney. YEA!!!!

We're driving down for the F&W this Friday and will stay Sunday through Wednesday on property. Friday and Saturday we are doing WWoHP at Universal. It's nice to be this close.

We're headed back in December with our kids and grandkids and will do the 8 night stay again, on property. :dance3:

We did 8 days, 7 nights on our last trip and by the end of the week we were really feeling tired, run down, and sick. We were also sick of the food. Next trip we are thinking 5-6 nights. Our thought is also that a shorter trip will allow us to go more frequently.

Our first stay was only 5 nights 6 days and it felt really short! Our 2010 trip was 8 nights, 9 days and was great! I would love to go up to 10 or 12 days but so far I have 9 days planned for 2013. We always fly and have never rented a car. We love being in the "Disney bubble" for our entire trip. No driving, no cooking, no getting gas for a car" 9 days gives us multiple days at MK, 1 full day at each of the other parks, a full day at the resort, a full day at one of the water parks, and a whole day that we split between Downtown Disney & resort hopping. My DH usually ends up running over to Epcot on our resort day to get a beer & brat for dinner.. My boys were 12 & 4 on our last trip and will be 15 & 7 on our next one. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside in 2010 and plan to stay there again in 2013. Here is my breakdown for the 2013 trip:

day 1 - arrive very early - MK for a few hours - swim & CS at the resort
day 2 - water park all day -
day 3- Magic Kingdom all day (maybe a mid-day break at the resort)
day 4 - Downtown Disney - Poly for dinner
day 5- Animal Kingdom all day - this park closes early so we swim when back at resort
day 6- Hollywood studios all day (star wars weekend)
day 7- Resort all day- resting, swimming, doing laundry
day 8- Epcot all day
day 9- check out- last few hours at Magic Kingdom - leaving very late.
I can't wait!!!

My last two trips with DH have been about a week. First trip was 7 nights, last trip was 6 nights. We always do two days each at MK and Epcot and then just a day each at DHS and AK. We always go to Downtown Disney at least once. Haven't made it to the water parks yet but we plan to next year when we're going back for 7 nights. And we always fly.

I have always driven and stayed 8 nights. Until this trip. We are flying and will be staying 9 nights at CSR and the final night at POP. The night at POP was added on so we could save over $600 on airfare by leaving on Monday instead of Sunday. We will have 10 days in the parks and will have 1 "off" day in the middle - we will be going to Blizzard Beach that day. We usually arrive early in the morning and then take a mid-day break if the park is open late or stay until closing if not (5:00 pm at AK). Most days we will be back at the room and in bed at a reasonable hour (10 or so). We don't do park hopping - we found that it stresses us too much and we didn't really utilize it the last 2 trips that we bought it.

We're local-ish (an hour & 45 minutes away), so we go over for short stays (1-3 nights) several times per year. I like having lots of little mini-getaways to look forward to throughout the year. :goodvibes Also, we have several geriatric pets who can't be left for long.

10 days feels just right. This next trip, we're flying in the night before "day #1", and leaving the morning after "day 10". Going to get every minute out of that 10 day PH!

I usually go to WDW several times a year. I fly and usually stay eight nights/nine days taking the first early morning flight out of DFW to Orlando and the latest flight home. There is usually one day I don't go to the parks. I also go over to Universal for a day or two.

We try to go for a week, flying in on a Saturday and out the next. Anything less and we'd feel like we couldn't see everything or would be rushed. Anything more for us would get a little repetitive and take away some of the anticipation for the next trip. That also seems about as good for admission pricing per day as anything, and is about as long as you want to go living out of one large suitcase - so you don't have to haul a ton of stuff or waste vacation time doing laundry.

Six admission days gives us two days each for the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, and one each for the smaller parks, AK and DS. Plenty of evening time for pools, Downtown Disney/Disney Quest, the mini golf courses. You might want one more day if you are heavy into waterparks, golfing or shopping.

Depends how close you are too... it's a long trip for us so one trip every other year is the norm. If you could drive it in a day, maybe two three day trips each year would work as well for you.

When the kids were younger we always went for 14-15 days but every 2 years. Now we go every year and stay between 10-12 days.

We like to spend between 10-12 nights there. Our next trip is in 2012 and we intend to spend 10 nights soaking up all things Disney!:goodvibes

Our first trip was 5 nights. Way too short. Next trip was 8 nights. Still felt too short. Our next trip will be around 12 nights for the WDW part and 3 nights at a Universal Partner Hotel.

We usually stay 7-8 nights. Last trip was 8 nights and I was more than ready to come home. This next trip will be 7 nights. Disney is not a relaxing vacation to us. It is alot of fun but it is not relaxing.
We can't be gone very long because of our dogs. We kennel them and our Great Dane, Phoebe, starts gets worry spots from anxiety after about 6 days at the kennel.
When we are in the Caribbean we usually end up gone for about 9-10 nights, that is really pushing it when it comes to leaving Phoebe. She loses weight as well as getting the worry spots so even though I would like to be gone for longer we just can't.

We usually stay for five or six nights. I don't think we've ever stayed longer than seven nights.

We do try to book travel plans that maximize our days, though. On our upcoming trip, we arrive in Orlando around 11 AM, and we don't have to leave for the airport for our return flight until around 7 PM. At least that way, we still get as close to full days as we can to start and end the vacation.

5-8 nights usually depending on what we can afford and how much time we can take off from work/school.
