I"m not familiar with the layout of dvc at poly.
How far are the dvc studio room s from the monorail?

You are talking about walking to the TTC (Ticket and Transportation Center) where the Epcot Monorail is?

* You also can catch the Express Monorail, which runs from there directly to the Magic Kingdom (without any stops). It runs Counter Clockwise.

* Or the Resort Monorail, which runs Clockwise from there to Poly, then Grand Floridian, then Magic Kingdom, then Contemporary/Bay Lake Tower then back to the TTC.

*** You can also walk to the Poly Reception Main Building - The Grand Ceremonial House and catch the Resort Monorail there, when it comes by.

The three DVC buildings form a Triangle on the eastern edge of the Poly Property. Those three buildings are called Tokelau, Moorea and Pago Pago. If you search for these buildings on Google Maps you will find them. The walk to TTC from Moorea or Pago Pago is about 5 to 8 minutes, and from Tokealu is about 7 to 10 mins, depending on whether you walk fast or mosey along.

If you plan to take the Resort Monorail from the Ceremonial House to TTC it does take about 25 mins when you include the 3 other stops. But it will get you there. From the TTC you can take the Resort Monorail back to Poly, or go to any of the other 3 stops.

* Tokelau is the farthest west of the 3 buildings. It runs north and south. All the rooms in Tokelau are Standard view. The west side looks out on the secondary pool and the east side looks out on the common area surrounded by the triangle of DVC buildings. It is closest to the Grand Ceremonial house and farthest from the TTC.

* Moorea is the building that sits the farthest to the north of the 3 DVC buildings. It sits on the lake and is oriented East/West. The north side is the location of all the Poly DVC Lake View rooms. The south side has Standard View rooms and looks out on the common area in the middle of the triangle. It is also closest to the TTC. Especially the East end.

* Pago Pap sits on the south east of the 3 building triangle. It is about as close to the TTC as Moorea. It is oriented Northeast/Southwest. The south side looks out over the parking lot. The north side looks out on the common area. All of the Pago Pago rooms are considered Standard View.

Personally, I like Tokelau, because it is also closest to the Restaruants/Food Court which are in the Grand Ceremonial House. And closest to the Resort Monorail to MK. But if you have Lake View you must stay in Moorea and Moorea is also close to the TTC if you plan to take the Epcot monorail. If you want to ask for Pago Pago, do ask for a room on the north side of the building, facing the common area.

The DVC buildings are the 3 located on the right side of the resot map closest to the TTC with the Ferry, Express Monorail and Epcot monorail. The resort monorail also stops at the TTC.

Depending on the security lines at the TTC, you may want to hope on the monorail there instead of at the Poly Main Lodge because in the morning the monorails get packed by people at the TTC.

Here is the view of walkways from Google Maps. Caution is you can't tell here where the actual security entry/exit points are for the TTC.

You can walk to either the Grand Ceremonial House to take the resorts line, or you can walk to the TTC and take either the resorts or the Express Line.

The are pretty close to equal walks.

I tend to walk to the TTC. If a fair amount of ppl are hoping on the resorts line in the morning, you are getting on a stop earlier.

Also, from the TTC you can get right on the Epcot line.

It its a 5 minute walk to the GCH, it cant be more than 7 to the TTC.
If that.

If you get lost easily, like me, I'd suggest one or two "practice trips" if you're going to the main building to catch the monorail. Last time (my first at Poly) I was in Moorea, and got lost several times en-route to the main building. Coming back from MK, I always took the ferryboat because it was closer to the longhouse I was in. But in the morning, I preferred the monorail because it was MUCH quicker at that security than the one when taking the ferryboat.
