Considering for our arrival and departure days. How long does it take 2 adults to tour the waterparks on average? (First week in April to give you an idea of crowds.) Thanks!

For me, the water parks are half-day parks - I arrive when they open at 10, and I'm ready to leave at 2.

I on the other hand spend the majority of the day at the waterparks, say 10-6 or 7pm.It comes down to how much you enjoy the waterparks,I could never see myself only spending 3-4 hours there as I really like them.

Same here .... having been to both water parks a couple of times now, we've identified our favorite "attractions" at each park so we mostly stick with them. Our first time at each park we spent 5-6 hours at each park (we went early) to try everything out. Now after about 3 hours ...we're done.

I usually last about four hours, maybe five. It's surprisingly tiring! I think it's a combination of the sun and climbing all of the stairs to get to the slides. I'm usually pretty darn tired by about 2:00.

We love runoff rapids at BB ... last time we were there we went on it 4X in row (It was not crowded at all in Nov.) ... I could barely walk after running up all those stairs.

Like everyone else a half day is good for us. Usually mid vacation we go. Were there at opening, ready to call it quits by 1 go back to the resort for lunch/nap and the a park at night. All those stairs are extremely tiring...

Usually arrive at 10 and are ready to go by around 2.30 or 3.00. Since we are going mid summer this year instead of Spring or Fall, that may change but I'm not planning spending more time than usual unless DD wants the extra hours there.

Same, though I can do "everything" once by 1 or 2. But, who wants to do all that stuff just once? LOL

If you like water parks and never get to go to good ones I could see you spending 5-6 hours. If you however get to go to other water parks more often (in Wisconsin we have the Wisconsin Dells which is known widely as the "Waterpark Capital of America") you will find yourself ready to leave after 3-4 hours.

Its a good to go in the afternoon for a little while between the morning and evening parks.

I would agree with 4 hours, except that we do the last 4 hours the park is open. We put it on a "sleep in" day after a late night in the park. During March spring break trip NO line was more than 15 min. when we entered late in the day.

I think it depends on whether you want to just do each slide once and move on, or also have time to relax and enjoy the wave pools, lazy river, etc.

We were at TL from open to close last week, and had to drag the kids out forcibly. If you just want to hit the major slides, a few hours should be fine.

If your only goal is to go on every slide, you can be done in 3-4 hours easily.

If you want to "rest" - i.e. spend time floating in the river, or napping on a lounge chair - plan to stay from open til 4 or 5. Then shower and head out to a park for the evening, rested and ready to close the place down at 2am.

We do the latter during warm weather trips. For us, the water parks are something we will do 2 days during a 7 or 8 day trip. It's an excellent rest from touring the parks, and with the exception of the wave pools which are of course not well shaded, you can actually stay out of the sun for most of the day if you wish. (Though there's a small section of the Blizzard Beach wave pool that's shaded for a good part of the day, too.) Most sections of the lazy rivers and slide queues are shaded.

The teens can still run up the stairs and slide all they want, and mom and dad get to rest in the lazy river... ;)

it depends on the weather really and how much you like the parks. if the weather isnt great and the parks are empty you can do everything in an hour or so and at that point youll be so tired from stairs that you will just want to sit in the river. on the other hand if its really hot and sunny out, the parks could be packed and youll end up waiting 45 minutes just for one slide.
