How long does it take to get contract/documents for review from DVC?

How long does it normally take to get the documents for review from DVC when you are getting ready to sign up? When I got home from work today, I had a FedEx package from DVC, and I opened it, expecting to see the legal documents, but it was just an informational package.

Well, that would have been fine and good, except if was meant for somebody else! There was a letter attached addressed to another person in the package. So, now I'm a bit concerned that my documents with my information could have went to somebody else!

How much personal information goes on the intial documents that you are sent to review? I know I gave my guide quite a bit of information, and it is freaking me out a bit to think that my information could have gone to somebody else!

Since I received this after 5:00, my guide has already left for the day, and the guide I spoke to who's information was on the package I received didn't make me feel very comfortable.

So, I figured I'd look to my DIS friends for reassurance.

My guide got my voicemail tonight, and call me back assure me that my contract wasn't sent to someone else--it actually went out today, and I should receive it tomorrow. She said she called and double checked to make sure that they had the correct address for me on the FedEx slip so that information doesn't go to the wrong person.

The other guide wound up calling me back as well, and explained what happened. The person who was supposed to receive the information I received has a member number close to the one I was giving, and the folks who put together the informational package must have typed in my member number by mistake when looking for the address for the package.

My guide also explained that the information packages are sent out from a warehouse in a Georgia. DVC hired a company to take care of that for them.

At any rate, at least now, I don't have to worry about my personal information going to someone else.

Glad to know your paperwork is on its way to you.

Did you have a good trip to WDW. (I'm the one that met you on the monorail from EPCOT to TTC back in late October.)

I was dog tired walking up that ramp at EPCOT. It was good to finally meet a fellow Dis-er.

and to let you know after you sign everything and send it back in you will be approved very quickly. we got our approval with ina week.

I joined DVC while on a recent DCL cruise. I signed the paper work on the Magic on a Friday. Come Tuesday I had a large FedEx box sitting at the door with the paperwork, books and backpack.

All those palm trees and Mickey ears still make my head spin!

I had my approval back in about a week. Actually, I got my DVC financing approval back before the other paperwork.

I was rather surprised it happened so fast. Now if June would only get here so that I have my SSR points.
