we're running short on free days on our holiday, and are thinking of doing aquatica on a day that we've already got something planned. we're doing one of the photo shoots and should be done by about 12.30-1pm ish, so thinking we can be at aquatica by about 1.30pm. its due to close at 6pm that day.
do you think 4 and a bit hours will be enough to do everything there? we've got 2 weeks of seaworld/aquatica tickets so can always go back another day if we need to, but was wondering if thats a realistic time frame?
how long do you guys normally spend there?

We hated it and left after less than 3 hours. I don't think anybody can really tell you if that will be long enough - depends on how many slides you want to do/how much time lazing on the beach/in the surf pool...etc...etc...It will also depend heavily on the lines. When we were there in the summer the Dolphin slide had a wait of 120 minutes.

120 minutes !!!!!

What is the Dolphin slide?

120 minutes for a water slide. I love dolphins but that is an excesive amount of time to wait for a slide that goes through a pool with dolphins in it. I absoultely love dolphins but even to me that is a long wait when you are whoosing through in a clear plastic tube!!

and it feels even longer when you realise that the chances of actually seeing the dolphins are slim to zero!!:rotfl: I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in a ride anywhere!!!:lmao:

I think as time goes by the wait times may gradually reduce , especially at non-peak times of the year.
There is still that 'new attraction factor' about Aquatica that will naturally mean crowd levels are high for a while.

Personal opinion is the kid's areas at both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach could be better, as TL is in the middle of a re-furbishment we will certainly be giving it another go there.

I would go to one the Disney one's AND Aquatica also. To have more choice cannot be a bad thing.

We went to Aquatica for the first time at the start of October. Despite hearing bad reports we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our DD's 9 &12 could go on all the bigger rides and there were virtually no qeues. Roa rapids had us all in fits of laughter and we were laughing so much we found it hard to get off!!!
It does depend on when you go, who you go with and what you enjoy but give it a go and if you like it you can always go back. I would say going in the afternoon you would miss the 'morning rush'.
We love Blizzard Beach but have been there when it was really busy and it does spoil the enjoyment. Hope you have fun.!
