How long do they keep decorations?...

I was just wondering if anyone knows how long the resorts keep the Christmas decorations up? We'll be there the week between Christmas and New Years and wanted to decorate our room a little, but didn't know if this was too late.

Based on a 2001 early January trip, the decorations pretty much all stay up through New Year's Day. After that, they start coming down, and nearly all are gone by the end of the first weekend in January.

Thanks! I failed to mention earlier that we are staying at the AKL and didn't know if there were any restrictions regarding lights because of the animals. I had read somewhere that they have low lighting.

But, based on our Jan 2002 trip (!), they were up in full force at the resorts on 1/5, and didn't really start coming down until almost the 10th or so.

In the parks, I don't recall, but I think they were beginning to disappear, if not already gone by the 6th (our first park day).

If you're there before New Year's Day, it shouldn't be any problem at all. I'm definitely jealous of getting to see holiday decorations at WDW in full force!
