How long do direct point waitlists take?

We just requested 25 direct points at OKW. We already own a resale contract there and want some direct points to get the perks.

Just wondering how long it's taken for requests to come through for people. I understand this will probably vary, but I'm intrigued generally.

My wait was in December, plus I was just adding on, already had perks.

Wanted 25 March UY, SSR. After 2 weeks, was told OKW was available, we said yes, and within a day was told SSR became available. Went with SSR. We have been to Aulani twice now, and are looking forward to booking for September later this month. We need these points for the 7 month booking!

I guess we got lucky, asking for 25 Boulder Ridge points 2 weeks ago, they put me on hold and came back and said no problem......

There is no particular set time. It all depends on availability of points and on how many people were ahead of you in line. I got mine 5 minutes after calling to see if they were available, and other people have had to wait a few months.
Apparently calling to check in with your guide every couple of weeks can help. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I would keep calling your guide till he or she knows your first name and incoming phone number. Seems to speed up the process.

Agree. I highly doubt they're gonna work their butts off to ROFR a bunch of points to sell by the deadline. They'll do it after and sell 75 instead.

Going back to the OKW 2042/2057 dilemma, this would be a good time for them to ROFR all the OKW they can so they can flip a bunch of new 2057 contracts out there. Many people will be taking whatever they can get.

They had nine weeks prior to this announcement that they didn't do any ROFL's either apparently.

Personally I am a bit skeptical of this "waitlist." It's supposed to be a definitive list where I get the points ahead of anyone who calls then after me. But I hear too many stories of people who had guide's "find" points. Which makes me wonder if it's more arbitrary and capricious than that.
