We will have a Disney newbie, Daughters’s new hubby, and she want to go from DHS to Epcot via Syliner and the. On to MK via monorail.
How long would you allow for this adventure?

Will he be entering Epcot? Because the Skyliner drops off at the International Gateway at the back of the park and the Monorail is at the front of the park.

I think WDW advises to allow 1.5hrs for transportation. That’s probably a good estimate. It would be much quicker to Uber/Lyft from DHS to MK. They would save at least an hour that way.

Yup, park hoppers. 10 day passes. Wants to show off transportation in the air.

I’d allow roughly 30-35 minutes for Skyliner DHS to CBR then CBR to Epcot IG. (If they’re going to enter DHS before they do this, they’ll need hopper tickets and to start their Epcot excursion no earlier than 1:30 PM since they won’t be able to enter Epcot until 2:00. If not entering DHS, no hopper needed but they’ll need a park pass reservation for Epcot.) I’d then allow 20 minutes to enter Epcot and walk from the IG through the park and exit to the monorail station. Then 15-30 minutes for the monorail Epcot to TTC, then another 15-30 minutes for monorail from TTC to MK (depends on how long they have to wait to board the monorails). So I’d allow a couple of hours, and I would not have a tight deadline such as an ADR or ILL$ or Genie+LL at MK. I would look at it as a fun excursion!

I haven't used the Skyliner much and can't comment on that part, but although I'm a fast walker it would take me more than 20 minutes to get from IG to the front of Epcot. Also, there will be virtually no shade along the path, so if you do it in the afternoon between now and November you'll be drenched in sweat by the time you get to the monorail. If you're going to make the attempt, take lots of water and plan a cooling off stop or two along the way. Cooler alternative with no hopper time constraints - Skyliner from DHS to Caribbean Beach or other hotel, bus to Disney Springs, bus to a monorail resort (keep in mind they don't start running until lunchtime), monorail to MK.
