How long after sending paperwork in are we official DVC owners?

Hi everyone!

My husband and I recently made the decision to become DVC owners at Saratoga Springs. We signed up at the Doorway to Dreams opening at Woodfield in Chicago.
My question is this- we recently sent in all of our signed paperwork and credit application. How long before we are official and know that everything is taken care of? It has been about a week now and I just wanted to know how long I should wait before calling!
We have a reservation on hold for 12-19-12-26 of 2007,so we are anxious to find out!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

My wife and I sent our paperwork off on a Monday and we received signed and notarized copies for our records on Saturday. Now, we paid cash so I am not sure if there is any additional processing time associated with financing through Disney.
We still haven't received our permanent membership cards - I am calling tomorrow to see when they will be coming.

Generally, as soon as they approve the credit application (which may well be appoved by now), you are "official", i.e., you are as good as done and able to confirm ressies. That is, of course, subject to closing which takes place (without your presence) usually about 30 days after everything is approved. Once your credit application is approved, that closing will occur absent your doing something to prevent it.

I am waiting on ROFR. As I understand it, I will not be official and able to book ressies until after closing. Is this correct? I assume it is different when buying directly from Disney.
