How long after I book should I get mailings?

Hello -

Booked our first Disneyland trip on 12-28-09 via Disney's website. I have not seen any mailings yet from Disneyland.

Called to verify that I requested a non-smoking room on Monday and it was almost like they couldn't find my reservation.

I had a temp hold on a room at Disneyworld for the same time and I have received emails and a letter from Disneyworld and this ressie had NO money paid on it.

Should I be getting communications from Disneyland (like Disneyworld)? When should I expect them? I am a bit nervous because of the issue when I called.

Help!!!! Now I am REALLY worried. I went online to check my reservation and I can't pull it up.......... AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
 
That is VERY weird. I'd follow up on it for sure!



We used Costco Travel, but they use WDTC for booking anyway, and we had a receipt of the deposit we made relatively soon after we booked. Then after that we didn't hear from them except for if I made changes to the reservation (first I downgraded hotels and dropped the dining plan, then later I upgraded the hotel again), until it was time to make the final payment.

And then after final payment, they sent the packet out about 3 weeks before our trip started.
 
I book all my reservations over the phone. Never once have I been able to track the reservation on the Disneyland website. I asked them about this once and I was told that only reservations booked and paid for on Disney.com could be Able to be tracked on the website. Did the agent you talked to take your email address? Correctly? Also when are you traveling? They don't ship your tickets and other goodies until 21 days before you check-in.

When you called them back, the DID find your reservation?

I always get worried too, I never seem to get an e-mail, never can pull it up, etc. But then, when I call they always have it and my CC is always charged.

I booked on 12-30 and it came in the mail on Wednesday.
 
But the OP said that she booked through the website. So it should be trackable!

Yea saw that... maybe when they called to make a request the agent re-booked it as if it was a phone ressie? :confused3 I wouldn't worry until you talk to the agents tomorrow. Besides you are still 2 months out according to your siggy. Another thing... why would you have to request a "non-smoking' room? Aren't they all "non-smoking"? Keep us posted...

I will call them today, just to be sure of the situation. We are traveling on 3-13-10 to 3-19-10. Requested the non-smoking room because I could not see anywhere that Embassy Suites south is non-smoking. Other resorts were. I just want to be sure that we are in a non-smoking room as I am an asthmatic. I will keep you posted. Maybe I am just used to WDW which seems to be really quick with all their correspondence.
 
funny thing = tried the site again this morning and I get my ressie right away!!!!
Maybe the site was having problems last night. :-)

Whooooo - what a relief. First time to Disneyland with the kids and want it to be good.....
 
I got an email confirmation, but nothing in the mail... Should I be worried. It is a surprise for my anniversary and I just figured that is why they didnt mail anything. Of course its a room only reservation too so I am not expecting tickets or anything.
