How late is too late to call someone's home

As a general rule I don't call anyone after 9PM or before 9AM. When our kids were younger we shut off the ringer at 8PM.

On a side note however, I once called a customer at 6AM. We had a problem with his account, but I failed to notice that the # I was calling was on the other side of the country.. It was past 9 where I was calling from. Ooops.

Me personally -

6a and 1030p. I am up and moving and aware during those hours. But people know they can call at any hour, really. We are night owls AND early birds in our house. I am usually going on about 5 - 6 hours of sleep these days.

However, unless I am close with the person, I won't call after 10 or before 9..

I wouldn't call someone before 9 a.m.

I wouldn't call someone after 10 p.m. (And if I had to call after 9 p.m., I'd probably apologize for calling so late.)
