How late is too late to call someone's home

Before 8am or after 9pm.

If you call at those times, there had better be a fire somewhere.

My kids go to bed between 8 and 9, so I don't like calls between 8pm and 8am, and try not to call anyone else between those hours too.

After 9a - Befor 9p.

There is a Curb Your Enthusiasm Episode about the proper cut off times.....Lary of course, doesn't believe in cut off times. :rotfl2:

I am w/ you OP ...I dont call people after 8pm unless they've told me to or we are close enough to know that they are fine w/it and they dont have kids.

Having kids makes the times earlier, for most, I imagine. My kids go to be at 8pm, so I definately prefer people not call after that (but many do... I dont really mind up until 10pm, then it gets me. DH gets mad starting at 8pm - I feel sorry for any telemarketer who calls after that.)

9 PM... normally, 10 PM if it's important that you speak to them that evening and you also offer an apology for calling late. In the AM, on a weekday I'd go with 7-ish AM if you know that the household will be getting ready for work or school, on the weekends 9 AM.

9 pm to 9 am. I really don't like getting phone calls after 8 pm, but I'm okay with it until 9 pm.

Not after 10 pm or before 8 am.

Unless I know their schedule to be otherwise.

Two nights ago, a drunk called my dd's cell phone at 1:15am!!! It went to voicemail, where he left a message, using my dd's name from her announcement. I hit callback, and reemed him out. He was too drunk to remember the name of the girl he was trying to call.

I thought telemarketers are not allowed to call after 9pm?
I would have found out who it was and reported them. Where? I have no clue. lol.

I wouldn't call someone after 8pm or before 10am.

No calls from 9 pm until 9 am up here at the lake - unless it's an emergency or just my family calling to check up on me because they forgot to call me during the normal hours..

The other night I got a really weird call shortly after 9:30 pm.. You could tell it was from a "call center" because of the voices in the background.. Anyhow - the call went like this (with a very heavy accent and difficulty with the language):

"Allo? This not telemarketer or call sales. How many detectors of smoke in your home?"

(Me) - "Sorry - but I'm not interested in discussing this with you and I don't appreciate these types of calls late in the evening.."

"Wait! Wait! Wait! Not to hang up.."

--------------

I hung up..:headache:

I would say that I don't like calls after 8:00 PM but I'm fine if family calls until 9:00 PM.

I'm usually trying to unwind by 8:00 and if the phone rings, I look at the caller ID and decide if I'm going to answer...

emergencies only after 9pm
I generally don't call anyone before 9am

After 10 pm is to late weekdays, and I don't mind getting calls after 6am since I am up anyway... weekends are another story--we are good getting calls up to midnight but don't call here before 10-11am!
My phone routinely rings at 2am, 4am, 5am---any time of the night though as its my job calling to see if we want to work overtime.

I'm in the 9-9 camp. However, I don't mind text's until about 11 when I go to bed. In the Eastern time zone I don't really expect anyone to be going to bed before 11 or 1130. When we lived in the central time zone, I figured most people went to sleep 10-1030 so my rules there were a little different.

Early morning calls bother me more than night time ones.

I would not call between 9pm and 9am, unless it was a friend who I knew always got up early or always stayed up late.
