How "just one trip" became three (babies)... update 6/29, huge triplets photo update

Hi! Just found your report and a BIG CONGRATULATIONS from one triplet mom to another!! :) I have BBB triplets too (spontaneous and fraternal), but mine just turned SIX last week!

:lmao: When I first read this, somehow I read "I have triplets but mine just turned INTO six" I was thinking you were pregnant with sextuplets! Must slow down when reading the boards!

Rootskate of course we remember you and our meeting on the tram. You were the only DISers to do the "focker watch" to us :)

:welcome: Disney Spaz and peemagg!

Just a short update, still in the hospital and still pregnant. The boys are all doing well, heart rates are great and still very active.

I am being very closely monitored for pre-eclampsia and toxemia if the tests come back positive or blood pressure keeps climbing it looks like we'll deliver this week. A little earlier than I'd like, but we'll see how it goes.

Lisa
Good luck to ya. . hopefullly all will work out well and they can hold off as long as possible..

In the meantime keep getting those babies bigger. :)

I think of you, Code, and the boys every day! All best thoughts to you in
this super exciting time. We are all so excited about the boys that you may have to hold a meet the triplets meet on your next trip!

I came accross your post and just wanted to send more well wishes! My triplets will be 5 on the 20th. I know everyone says it but it is so true, the time goes by too fast! I remember how excited and scary the end of the pregnancy is but meeting the wonderful bundles is the best!

We leave just under 2 months for my triplets 6th trip the Disney and we are all pumped about it. They are actually asking for disney money for their birthday so the girls can do bibbidi bobbidi boutique, and Jack can buy his own souvenier.

I can't wait to hear how beautiful and healthy they are!

First a quick baby update.. today is 32 weeks and 6 days, and there hasn't been any changes really. Her contractions have a pattern of getting more intense and frequent in the evening, so she has been getting a nightly morphine+phenergan shot to knock them down, and for now it's still working.

Next.. sorry once again that I've been absent, I'm sure you can understand I've had some more important priorities lately.

Thank you all so much for all your thoughts and prayers! And also thanks to those that have asked how I'm doing. I'd love to respond individually but I'm just too far behind so one here is one big THANK YOU for everyone. And welcome to all our long time lurker, first time posters!

As far as how I'm doing.. just stretched a bit thin. Between visiting Lease daily, going to work, regular home duties, finding a car, getting our house refinanced, getting everything we still need, etc etc etc.. I'm just busy. But I am getting very very excited to meet our boys!

I think it is awesome that other triplet parents have found our thread, really glad to have you along! We'll take any advice you're willing to give ;)

pl'smama - Wanted to give my late congratulations on your arrival!

I wanted to take a minute to brag about my awesome wife. I know she is more miserable than she lets on, but where another woman might be screaming for the babies to come out, she keeps telling them to stay in for as long as possible. Her doctor even told her that she probably wouldn't last past Friday, but she insists she can make it through the weekend. I'm very proud of her for staying strong and positive!

I know some of you were waiting anxiously for pictures of Lease, so here they are!

This one was taken March 30 when I took her cat to the hospital to visit...

And this one was April 2, she was enjoying some leftover birthday cake…

I'll get a new picture when I visit tonight and post it.

And here are a few shots from her most recent ultrasound…

Yesterday, I took care of the last big thing we needed to be truly ready to bring them home (at least in terms of possessions).. I bought a minivan  I've been looking for a while and one fitting all our needs finally came along at the right price, so I jumped on it. It's a 2006 Toyota Sienna, light blue (appropriate color). I installed the car seats and put the stroller in the back just to see how it all fits.. it was a very "real" moment for me to see 3 carseats in the back of our minivan. If it stops raining today, I'll take pictures tonight and post them.

Lastly.. I am pretty disappointed with myself that I haven't finished processing the remainder of our Disney trip photos yet as I know there won't be much time for it after they are born, but I'll keep plugging away. I'm going to start posting what I have done so far very soon...

I just stumbled upon your thread yesterday. Congratulations! Gotta love that Disney magic!

Hey Code, thanks for posting the pics of Lease, we are all thinking of her and your 3 boys and I'm glad to hear you are hanging in there too!!

don't worry about no TR updates! You have more important matters to attend to and we'll still be here when things settle down for you (hopefully in a few years :lmao:)

What a fun thread; like everybody else, I'm enthralled!

A friend of my daughter's had three little (under six) girls and they decided to try one more time for a boy. They, too got three at a time. The boys are in their teens now. When they got a little to big for a stroller, she used to bring them to church in a red wagon. Their church galvanized and build an addition to their house, since they suddenly had six children (under the age of seven)!

Congratulations, and best wishes!

Code - you and Lease are doing a great job of taking care of the things that matter, and as a bonus you guys have kept us updated. That's certainly the most that we can hope for, and speaking for this household, we're really glad to keep getting those updates that you, Lease, and the boys are all doing fine. Of course words are one thing, and it is nice to see the pictures of Lease and see for ourselves that she is doing well. How did you get her cat into the hospital? That's a great pic!

Glad you found a family-mobile - it amazed us when Abby was born just how much stuff a baby can require. I really don't think that I can totally comprehend what triplets require.

Hang in there you two, er .... five! It is so good that the boys are at 32+ weeks.

I'll agree with all the previous posters. Code, as much as we all enjoy reading your TR and looking at your pictures, we all understand that you are very busy right now. You are doing a great job, I don't have children, but I have 9 siblings, all from the same parents. No multiples either, but at one point my mom had 8 children 10 and under. I did help my babysit triplets, but I really cannot imagine what you must be mentally going through right now! You sound like you've got the right priorities! Good luck and God bless. Again: :grouphug:

Keep on hanging in there. My thoughts are with you guys.

That's great she's keeping a positive attitude in this exciting time. My friend said the same thing to her twins when she was pregnant with them about staying in for as long as possible and she ended up going 38 weeks which what I hear is rare when carrying mutiples (and this is when her Dr was telling her she wouldn't go past 33 weeks). Good luck to making it through the weekend. Keep having small goals and I'm sure you'll make it through this exciting time.

Congrats on the van purchase!!! We had the same problem when I was pregnant with our second child because both of our cars were to small to deal with two carseats so we ended up with a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan for an awesome price. Looking forward to hearing more updates and enjoy these peaceful moments while you can because you are in for the time of your life!!

Thank you for the update... again just what others have posted... we are all wishing you 5 the best of health... I think Dis is stable enough that we can hang on for the next few years with your TR posts... for now we are glad that things are running as smoothly as possible... take care of yourself too!!! :grouphug:

I just found your trip/trip report and wanted to stop by and say Hi and Congrats. I am a nurse in L&D and work in our high risk OB unit. 33weeks is AWESOME and you have an amazing wife. Every moment you keep babies in are many moments you keep babies out of the NICU. This takes so much strength physically and emotionally and is an incredibly selfless act. Just wanted to commend your wife and you. It takes not only a strong mom but a dad who is supportive and can handle things at home taking that stressor off of mom. WAY TO GO YOU TWO. I do not even know you and I am so proud of you both. Good luck and I cannot wait to follow along and hear of the belssed delivery of your sons. It is so rare for this to happen and then rare to make it as far as you have. That is some real pixie dust, maybe you guys should play the lottery. Again congratulations.

Oh wow thank you Code for updating. Our prayers will continue, and Lease is SO strong!!!!

Thank you so much for the update Code. It's great to know you are all doing so well. Lovely to see the photos of Lease. I remember about a couple of years ago you said how brilliantly she'd done losing a lot of weight - tell her it'll come off really quickly this time - just a few minutes and she'll lose over a stone!!! :rotfl: She looks really good in those photos - love the purple pants!
The scans of the boys are so exciting - you can really see their faces - wow!!!
I think we're all really devouring every bit of information and photos - if you have time please keep it coming! :grouphug:

Hey Code and Lease! Thanks for the update! It was great seeing you Lease. I hope you're able to make it through the weekend! I'll keep checking in to see if there's any news!

Cya!

I am so excited for you! I check every day to see how ya'll are doing! I am a teacher of the visually impaired and I work with many premature babies. 32 weeks is such a milestone as far as the babies development goes! I was so happy when I saw that not only did you reach that point but you passed it! Can' wait to see pictures of your wonderful babies.
