Can you tell me some of your favorite things to order? How are the desserts? Do your kids enjoy the selections there or do they eat off of your plates?

Is there pickled herring? We tease DD6 about eating pickled herring. It would be so funny if it was actually there.:rotfl2:

I don't remember about the pickled herring, but our family liked it. My ds was 4.5 and dd was 13 and they both found something on the menu they enjoyed...and the princess interaction was awesome!

I usually get the mustard glazed salmon for dinner and really enjoy it. My husband likes the traditional Norwegian meal. I cant' spell it, but it's kind of like large swedish meatballs. They are quite yummy too.

Our daughter is still a Disney Child and has ordered the pizza and the ravioli. She liked them both. They are the standard pizza and micky mouse shaped cheese ravioli that you find in lots of the Disney restaurants on the children's menu.

My daughter loves the salad bar better than her meal though. They have a nice selection of cheeses, lunch meats, vegetables, salad greens, and bread. They also have shrimp salad, baked salmon, cold boiled shrimp, and other salads. I can't recall about pickled herring. If it was there, I am sure I skipped right over it.

We will be doing this for the first time next week. I guess i was under the impression that it was a buffet. Am i wrong?

I'm so excited for this trip I can barely stand it! Can't wait to meet the princesses. DD6 of course will be blown away!

Sounds yummy!

I was under the impression this was a buffet as well.

Yes and no. There's a small buffet of appetizers like cheeses and meats, but the main course is ordered off of the menu. I can't recall how the dessert was handled, except that it seems like we shared it at the table.

Are you at a table of your own or do you share a table with others?

The appetizer bar is buffet. Yes, there's pickled herring. I LOVE pickled herring so I definitely remember it being there.

Entrees are ordered off a menu and brought out by your server. DH really enjoyed his pork chop last time and the time before he had that meatball thing which he said was ok. Last time I had the mushroom ravioli and really enjoyed it. The time before I had some kind of fish meal which was delicious as well. DD13 really loved her steak tips (anything that has steak as an ingredient is a hit with her). DD10 likes almost any kind of kid type food so that stuff is easy with her, though she does really like the appetizer bar as well (it's the only way she'll eat beets; something about that beet & apple salad is just a big hit with her).

Dessert is served family style. You can ask for another serving if what they bring out is not enough.

Each part has their own table.
