How is Kona?

Agree, Kona won't disappoint. The sticky wings (no mustard, please) were great. Different from Ohana's wings, which we really liked as well. The Kona cone (with the big mound of cotton candy) was fun, even for two adults with no kids!

WOW Bentley thanks so much for the pic just want I wanted! LOl Now what is the first pic? Anyone had the scallop and shrimp how are they and someone tell me more about the coconut almond chicken

The shrimp & scallops is our favorite. DH, DS, DM & I have all ordered it on various trips, and though I always say I'm going to try something different next time, I never do The shrimp are HUGE, the scallops perfectly prepared so that they are just a little sweet, a little seared on the outside, and not at all rubbery like scallops can get if they aren't prepared perfectly. The sauces really make the dish - the sweet passion-fruit one was my favorite because I love all things passion fruit; the wasabi one was surprisingly mild (I love wasabi too, and wouldn't have minded it being a little stronger) and a very nice touch too.

My only disappointment with Kona is that they've done away with my favorite dessert, the macadamia nut tart, since we were there last. I am looking forward to trying the fondue though.

I am a big fan of Kona. The tuna oscar is probably one of my top-three restaurant dishes of all time.

The desserts are pretty fabulous, too.

I have had the shrimp and scallops and they were awesome....when you first get them, you think, Oh my...that won't be enough. But it was especially since I had dessert too.

I was a little nervous about booking this reservation when we couldn't get into Ohana. After reading all of your reviews I'm really excited to try it. Thanks!

LOVE Kona!! I have only been there for breakfast though, I'll have to try it for dinner. I am seriously in love with their fruit bowl for breakfast, it is oddly my favorite meal every trip!!!!
I do know that I like the Lapu Lapu pineapple alcoholic drink! FAbulous!
Have a good time! :)

The teriyaki strip steak that now comes with sticky rice instead of mashed potatoes (But you can still sub to get potatoes, if you wish.)

Panko breaded shrimp and grilled scallops (It normally comes with sticky rice, but I asked for mashed potatoes.)
