How is everyone earning reward/money for Disney?

This is absolutely genius!!

Thank you

I really hope this was meant as a joke.

Why would you spend $10+ per device to make this contraption? The amount of extra money you would earn is small compared to the what it would cost you. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea of people spending money to buy old phones just so that they can grab another $1/day by running one nonstop. The amount of time it would take to break even just doesn't make sense.

In order for the dippy bird to continue bobbing up and down, it has to get its head wet. No glass of water to dip the beak in = stationary birdie! Do a google search for how these things work. It's not a perpetual motion machine!

Every time the thumbs up or down comes out and you press it , you get 50 points for sweeps .

It also resets the count down. So think about it this way. I sleep 8 hours a night . The timer pops up every 4 hours or so. So It gives me 4 hours of points while i'm sleeping. For work and commute i'm gone for about 10 hours. So it gives me an extra 6 hours of points there. Every single day.

You can find the birds cheaper if your lucky. I got them a few months ago for $6 each

Perk tv users- what exactly can you use the tokens for? Also, do you accumulate points per device as opposed to Swagbucks where you earn per account? Thanks in advance.

The tokens can be used for sweepstakes entries. You cannot redeem them for GCs or cash. I suppose someone has to win in those sweeps, but I never bother with them.

The devices for perk tv can all be on one account (up to 5 per account). They can run simultaneously and all points accrue in the same account. As a PP pointed out, you need to interact with the devices at least once every 4 hours in order to keep the videos running and the points accruing.

ETA: You also cannot run the same video on two different devices too at the same time or too closely together. You will not get credit for them if you do.

Thank you

I call BS on this. I actually did a science seminar with middle school kids using this device to demonstrate the laws of thermodynamics. It was actually a pretty fun lesson for science geeks.

The bird doesn't work without getting its head wet at some point, not at every cycle but certainly more often than once in 8-10 hours. It's the evaporation of the water that causes the fluid to rise up the tube and changes the center of gravity long enough for the bird's head to dip. As stated before, it is not a perpetual motion machine. Without the water evaporating from the head, the bird stops working entirely.

!

They are buying new phones not old ones and with cash back deals or gift certificate promotions many of these phones have cost $5 or less.

Even at full price most are $20

I wish I could take advantage, but in Canada a similar phone is over $100

The old fashioned way - a job. It works for me. :surfweb:

Just so you know you jerk. My husband has a fantastic job. I work part time plus am a SAHM full time. We do work and we pay our way. But I see nothing wrong with wanting to make a little extra here and there. So, you can get off your soap box acting like you are so much better than everyone else.

I've done well with Mypoints by buying gift cards through them. For a while, you got a lot of points for buying LL Bean cards. I would buy a few every time the deal came up , then used the cards to buy my kids winter coats, Christmas presents for my parents, etc. The bonus points added up quickly

I'll have to try that, thanks for the great advice. :thumbsup2

OP I like SavingStar, checkout 51, Ibotta and Receipt Hog. I have made a total of 117 in the last 4 months by doing nothing more than entering my grocery store cards and submitting receipts to these sites. I'd love to try some of the other things noted on this thread, I'll have to squeeze it in during my down time, you know when I'm not at WORK.

I love these apps, walmart saving thing works too.

husband has the tv perk thing, have no idea what his point balance is.

shopkick thing is very corky sometimes.

I save all my credit card rewards for vacations. I do the best with those the last quarter of the year because two of my cards offer 5% for shopping online :cool1: I also get rewards for using my debit card for purchases. It's slow (I think 0.5 point/dollar) but twice I've been able to cash out for $100 in gift cards.

I also do Checkout 51, iBotta, Ebates, and Mypoints. The receipt apps are slow for me because we eat non-GMO/organic but I think I've made around $60 since I started using them. A lot less now though since we changed how we eat. My points is slow, usually just those 5 point bonus emails but I have done a few of those Suave offers and the Naked juice one so I have 9815 points right now which is close to enough for $50 + $25 in gift cards. There is also a new one I just downloaded, I think it's called Snap. I haven't used it yet though. I always submit my Walmart receipts for Savings Catcher but have yet to make anything on it.

I started Swagbucks in January, and PerkTV in the beginning of August. So far I've made $580 from Swagbucks, and $165 from PerkTV. At first I was justing using DH & I's iphone 5's to run SBTV & EntertaiNow. By the time they were done, I was barely earning anything on perk plus they are our phones so I couldn't just run apps on them 24/7. I started running perk on my ipad sometimes but started worrying about how it was going to affect our good devices. I switched to just using our old iphone 4's that were sitting in the drawer. Then I used rewards from perk/swag to purchase 2 LG Fuels from walmart when they were both still $30. I spent less than $4 oop on them. I decided to get 2 more devices so I did the Target deal for the Kyocera Events. I paid just under $40 and had 2 phones and 2 $15 gift cards for Christmas (so around $5/phone). I've paid very little OOP for my phones for PerkTV and I earn at least $25/week. If I was only using our 2 old iphones the rewards would be much slower.

Any tips on earning Swagbucks quickly? I'm just starting with them so I'm not familiar with the tricks to earning.

Tip for Bing Rewards - I use an old word find book for my searches. It makes the searches go really fast and I get to my daily point goal in about 10 - minutes. :)

I search the alphabet one letter at a time. I search in a minute or 2.

Here's my Bing tip:

On a computer, I click through 8 of the "headline" links that appear across the bottom on the home screen (then move to the top once you start clicking). After 8, I back up to the beginning (hold down the back button and you can select how far to go back). Then I move forward through the exact same searches I just completed. In less than 2 minutes I've completed 15 searches without typing a thing. :)

It took me a while to figure it out, but the biggest thing that helped me was activating the daily goal meter. If you hit your daily goal all month, you get a 300 SB bonus posted the next month, plus those daily bonuses. For me it's about 600 SB/month in bonuses for each account (my husband and I both swag). My first goal is usually between 85-100, depending on the day. I try to aim for 100/day per account so that's $2/day + bonuses. I try to do it as passively as possible now. I mainly just run the SBTV app, then EntertaiNow. They recently lowered the limits though so sometimes I have to run some of the other android Swagbucks apps. There are other ways to get sb, like searching and doing offers, or playing games but I only do that if the apps keep crashing and I need to hit my limit.

There are threads for DISers that Swag and Perk

Just sent you a PM with a short tutorial of PerkTV & Swagbucks. Good luck on the $ making! Can't believe my wife and I are up over $1000 in a little over 2 months!

can you send it to me as well?

I search the alphabet one letter at a time. I search in a minute or 2.

Just search something, click over to images, and then just keep clicking the related links at the top. 15 searches takes like a minute.

How do you know or find out which searches will earn points? I tried going to the images and clicking on the link but it only took me to that website and did not earn any bucks. Any tips?

I think you might be confusing Bing and Swagbucks. Bing is a separate thing that allows you to redeem your Bing rewards for gift cards (among them 500 SB). Bing is the one that has the pictures. As for searching Swagbucks, searches that earn points are completely random. The amount you get and what word works for it. You just have to keep trying.
