I got a great rate for dollar for the last week in October. I rented a Charger for $155 (tax included)
I couldn't find any coupons to bring this rate down. But I think $155/week for a charger is good.
How is Dollar. Are there long lines to pick up your car?

Dollar are OK (although you can't avoid going to the check-in desk like you can with Alamo and National). It helps if you join their Dollar Express Club. This allows you to line up at a seperate desk and usually avoid the line-ups at the regular desk.

I rent from Dollar all the time. Never had a problem at MCO. But I would absolutely join Dollar Express - giving you a much shorter and quicker line, and avoids all the upselling pressure.

I've only rented from Dollar at MCO once, but was pleased with the service and the vehicle.

One thing to note: Dollar places a $250 hold on your credit card when you rent, even if your rental rate is less than that. If you don't have $250 available on your CC, the card will be rejected and they won't let you rent.

Dollar is great, it's the only company I rent from. We have one week of $152.70 all in for a Charger using the promo code OCVB that is good until mid-December 2007.

I've never had to stand in line at Dollar, I always walk up to the front since I'm in the Dollar Express (free to register) club.

Does Dollar ever put out coupons. I checked the entertainment site and didn't see any coupons.

Does anyone know if there are coupons anywhere?

Does this happen at the time of reservation or when you pick up the car?

Picking up our minivan at Dollar was the worst part of our entire trip last month. The first van they gave us, one of the side doors would not open. When I went to tell them about it the lady just kept saying " but it's a new van " like we were doing something wrong or we should take it anyway less one door simply because it was new.
When I finally convinced her that we wanted another van, we hauled all our luggage over 2 aisles, this one smelled like smoke. So, I had to go back for another one , and the 3 ladies working in there were talking and just ignored me for several minutes.
On top of all this, we couldnt get a good rate, paid $477 for 10 days and then barely used it due to the wonderful Disney transportation system.

I really considered skipping the car because M/E just sounds so easy. But we plan to stay at the Nick hotel a couple of days. We will dine out somewhere on International drive. My older son wants to do the Halloween party at Universal, so I will drive there. Then we will drive to Disney and probally not use the car again. But for $150, it's a winning deal to have the freedom of the car. We are not doing the dining plan, so we may stop for snacks & drinks to bring to the Disney resort.

Anyone know if Dollar ever puts out coupons. I searched the web and can't find any coupons for Dollar.

If you belong to BJ's Wholesale club, they have coupons. The coupons don't even come close to the deal we can get using the promo code: KISS2.
We're getting a full-size for 9 nts. in Nov. for $221 incl. all taxes/fees.
make sure you enter the code under promo, not corp. code. Good luck! :)
