How is anybody able to find...

I got a multi package of angel soft on Amazon today!

Let the rejoicing begin! :flower:

I got a 60 pack on Amazon that's supposed to deliver on Friday (it has shipped). I didn't need that much, but it was the only option aside from novelty rolls at the time so I went for it. Haven't seen any tp at stores in weeks, but now we should be set for the next year or so. 😄 We can help out family or friends in the area if they need it, too.

Did some shopping over the weekend - so thankful that's starting to look normal again. All the same, he's what I couldn't find;
  • Flour - Sam's actually had 25# bags but that seemed like too much, plus if they have 25# bags why wouldn't any other store have 5# bags? I passed - then wished I hadn't. Regular stores are still cleaned out.
  • Minute Rice - Sam's had plenty of larger bags of regular rice. I regretted not getting one of those too.
  • Disinfectant wipes
  • Pasta
  • Chicken breasts - plenty of thighs though. Cuts of red meat and seafood seemed plentiful too
  • I wasn't looking for it, but this seems like a bad omen - Ramen. That was cleaned out everywhere I went. Are people reverting back to "starving college student" diets? Seems like it - wouldn't surprise me.

Just got back from the Walmart Neighborhood Market. I had pretty much given up on hand sanitizer, but needed a toothbrush and walked down that aisle. There on the bottom shelf..... about 20 bottles of hand sanitizer. I felt like I had just seen Big Foot or something. My daughter was with me so we bought 2.

Great news! If stores keep purchase limits hopefully the supply and demand will gradually stabilize a bit.

Our Walmart. Ohio has just about everything. TP also. Had wipes. But no liquid hand sanitiser. Dollar generals and Kroger etc. Is also pretty much stocked as normal.

TP and baking stuff still all sold out. Plenty of bread available. No idea why flour is still selling out. And no idea why people still don’t have enough TP. You’d think by now people would have enough.

Whoa there. San Diego just initiated a policy that EMPLOYEES who interact with the public must wear face masks. Failure of businesses to comply will result in fines. The general public is NOT required to wear face masks or gloves. That still remains just a recommendation.

As for the $1000 fine, that's what they're saying will happen to those disobeying the social distancing orders already in place.
I just googled this. It says it's being recommended but not required. Maybe he misunderstood?
It's for employees, not people grocery shopping.
Oh thank goodness!!! It sounds like he misunderstood. I live on the other side of the country, so I’m really worried about him and my mom. He is using a bandana when he goes shopping.

That was my point. The poster said her father told her people were being fined for shopping without mask and gloves, but it's the employees that are being required to wear them - not shoppers. So he was mistaken.

DD#2 is in Oceanside, and is wearing a mask while she's out, just to make others feel more comfortable. She has GS#2 wearing one when he's out with her; got him to wear it by telling him they were going to play bank robbers. I told her to not take him to the bank when she goes to deposit her check tomorrow :rotfl2: (the company couldn't do their direct deposits today due to some sort of glitch, so they are overnighting checks to everyone to pick up tomorrow, while they work on whatever happened). :badpc:

Oh my word..I needed that laugh today. When you said she told him they were going to play bank robbers,I had exactly the same thought that you put down next!

I finally got PT today! I have been hunting several times a day for no joy. Today Meijer had bounty and I did an Instacart. The shopper must have been at the store because she got them and checked out within 5 minutes. I was tempted to run in myself but I am so afraid of getting this. I live close to these stores so my guess is it helps get selected by shoppers. I feel like I won a lottery (or FD at my fav resort).

Congrats!!!

Right now, I have a decent supply of both TP and PT!! However, neither of my adult children, who live 30 minutes north of me in the city have been able to get any. The last two weekends, I've had to parcel out some of my stash to them. Well, this morning I was able to order both items online from Costco using their 2-day delivery (which will likely be 5 days) but I feel that I can take that purchase and split it with them so they'll be good for awhile.

The one thing that’s definitely NOT in short-supply here is Easter candy. I was in Wal-Mart and my neighbourhood supermarket over the weekend and there’s mountains of it. :goodvibes

I bought a bag of Hershey's foil wrapped milk chocolate eggs and Reese's peanut butter eggs last week. I'll probably buy more this week when I go to the supermarket.

Other than hand sanitizer, Lysol spray and wipes, and a few other things, everything else seems to be adequately stocked. Toilet paper is generally available each time I checked the past two weeks. Meat, dairy, produce, frozen foods, bread, and many non perishables are plentiful.

That's ridiculous. Gloves are nowhere to be found ANYWHERE. You can do a make-shift mask with a scarf or bandana, though.
Costco has 2x200 packs of Nitrile gloves for $21.99 + $3 delivery. Delivery is 5-6 days, but they are available. We ordered a couple of weeks ago and got them.

That's also their regular price, not jacked up.

Our chains like Tesco, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s are all limiting the number of each product one person can buy, which is working very well. Shopping tonight the only thing that was in short supply was kitchen roll (two brands left) - toilet roll was in good supply. :)

Shops are also strictly limiting the number of people who can go in at any given time. We have to line up outside the shop and for every shopper that leaves, one more can enter. Only one person per household can go in - no more couples or families.

Thank you for posting. It is so fun to read ”English” I want to start calling it a toilet roll, but it would sound pretty ridiculous in my southern American accent!
