How intense is Escape from Gringotts

Gringotts has the darker theme than Guardians but I would say the physcial coaster sections on Gringotts are not that bad. There are just small and brief coaster sections between "scenes". I would even really think of it as a roller coaster.

I just watched the ride on utube. I don't remember it being that intense, but then I had my eyes closed trying not to get sick most of the time, LOL. After watching that video, I definitely won't be riding that again. But I will do the slow walk through to see the castle.

I think you are getting your rides mixed up. Forbidden Journey is the ride where you walk through "the castle" first.

Still a few months away, but this will be the first time at Universal Studios.

My 6year old daughter was great with all the rides she went on during the last Disney trip (was 5 back then), with the exception of one - guardians of the galaxy cosmic rewind. Slinky Dog, 7 dwarfs, flight of passage, etc... she loved. Just Cosmic Rewind had her overwhelmed.

How's the intensity of Gringotts vs. a slinky dog or cosmic rewind?
It sounds like your 6 year old might already be more adventurous than my 9 year old... :) but Gringotts did get my 9 year old rattled. He is still getting used to thrill rides though, because I didn't bring him on a lot of rides until recently. But Gringotts is dark and starts off (spoiler alert) with a drop in the dark. I don't think of it as being very intense myself, but I think the way it starts off can be a surprise. And if your child does not like that feeling of a roller coaster drop, I think it could be unpleasant. Also for children, the theming can be a little scary. Lots of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and Bellatrix LeStrange, which is easy for an adult to overlook when thinking about how scary a ride might be when added on to the sensations of the ride itself.

I haven't been on Cosmic Rewind but I have done Slinky Dog. My son loved Flight of the Hippogriff, which is more similar to Slinky Dog, so I think those outdoor "fun" coasters are a bit more accessible for the younger set. He loved Forbidden Journey, too. But Gringotts scared him. Just sharing one experience.
