We are planning our third wdw trip in Feb. I am normally laid back, go with the flow easy decision maker. But with WDW I become someone else. I revisit my resort desicions over and over. So for those that use a travel agent how often do u request info? I hate emailing because of my indeciveness but.....

A Travel Agent works for you and should want you to have the vacation that will make you happy.

Why do you keep changing your mind? Maybe we can help you here to make a decision that you will be able to stay with.

Is there a reason that you are using a Travel Agent vs. booking yourself? Many of our "high maintenance" members prefer to make their own reservations so they retain complete control and can call Disney to ask questions and make changes whenever they want, and not have to depend on a Travel Agent's schedule.

Last year we stayed at WL in a deluxe and this year in order to save some $$ we are staying at CSR ( which seems to have overall good reviews). My concerns relate to my oldest son who is on the autism spectrum. Daily we return to our room for "down" time so I loved the enclosed, quietness we experienced at WL. Everything was easy access etc. I thought we could rent a rollaway at CSR so the boys could have their own sleeping space but found out from my TA that because of the queen beds we cannot. I think my indeciveness falls into what maybe others experience..that hope for a perfect trip like last year, second guessing staying at the moderate and champagne wishes on a beer budget :).

I am not a resorts expert and have always stayed at the Values but here are my thoughts:

Have you looked into Port Orleans? I believe they have the roll away beds in some parts and also get good reviews. The resort is not as spread out and you can walk between everything. At CSR I believe you have to take an internal bus to get to many of the room buildings. I would worry about that if you have an overstimulated overtired child and you have to get off of the parks bus then wait for an internal bus to get back to your room. Take a look at our Disney Resorts board for more information-- those posters can really help you out. We took an air mattress with us a few months ago to use with one child in a Value and that worked well. But we also drove so didn't have to worry about suitcase space and weight.

You can also check out our disABILITIES board. We have numerous posters there with children with autism and they can offer some great advice and tips and tricks that worked for them.

Perfect is a pretty high goal to achieve and ultimately usually leads to disappointment. Some of my favorite photos from our first "perfect" trip are of my girls sulking and throwing a tantrum! You will be able to make whatever you choose work as long as you prepare -- and being here is the best way to do that. Check out our Resorts and disABILITIES board and then see how you are feeling about the resort choice you have and by all means email your TA if you want their input or a quote for a different location. And feel free to ask us all the questions you need to-- we live for high maintenance! :)

Thanks for the info, an air mattress will most likely be our answer! And yes I agree about the perfect. We will get all our info and go with a great attitude, because after all any day at wdw is a perfect day anyway!:yay:

We just returned Monday from our 44th trip to WDW. This trip we decided on trying OKW due to a great deal and 6 adults and 1 infant going. We were looking at our favorite resort, WL over 15 stays, but booked, POFQ again booked and we were going to do 3 rooms but we were offered the OKW 2 bedroom villa and split 3 ways cheaper (never tayed there). My thought on returning home, there's no place like home, WL, what you like and soremost, location. OKW villa was fablious but location wise, terrible. We were so used to taking the boat to the MK (our most visited park) being on the lakes with easy access to FW and the MK and the compactness of the resort itself that WL wins hands down. All I can say, when we return to WDW, it will be a resort chose by location and not pocketbook. Though the trip was great, WL would have made it better, never second guess your resort choice, we found out this past week. We aslo return to the resort in the afternoon, especially with granddaughter on her 1st visit (11months) and the bus rides everywhere were long and tiring, bus ride to the main pool at OKW was short but time consuming and same goes for the food and drink. Nothing says Disney to us more than location...location...location....Hope all works out for you...
