How have you Disney-ified your home? (souveniers thread)

LUVclarice....can I come live with you? :rotfl:

your home adorable! where on earth did you find a mickey tiolet seat cover?

This is the best thread ever, please keep the photos coming!!! I love that toilet seat cover as well, where did you get it??:goodvibes

Does anyone know if those plates are still available anywhere? I found the mouse ears silhouette on the disney store, but none of the other ones. I love how they look framed like that and would like to re-create if possible!

I'm not sure, but I feel like they still have them in the parks. I will be there Saturday, so I'll keep an eye out for you!

Here's my "Mickey Room." The artwork above the bed is actually the plates mounted on fabric canvases.

Very, very nice, Victoria. Looks so fresh, understated, and 'just right'. Great color scheme.

LuvClarice can I visit your house sometime? :goodvibes Your rooms look amazing and I am really jealous of your kitchen. I love the Gourmet Mickey Kitchen and I have a few pieces from that in my own kitchen. I have to ask...where in the world did you get that really cute Gourmet Mickey boarder? I have never seen anything like it before, in fact I haven't seen a lot of the things you have before either :rotfl:. I love it...great job.

The biggest thing we have is all around the house we have the mini ride posters that are produced at Disneyland. I don't know why these arn't done at Disney World, but they are amazing. Other than that my sons bathroom is totally decorated with the Disney World and Disneyland road signs and a lot of the license plates. In fact, every time we go on a new trip we try to get one more.

We have the Disney snow globes all over our house and we also have many Disney ornaments for our christmas tree!

Well we actually have a whole MK theme room, (see sig) but we didn't get any of it at the parks. I do buy the Jime Shore stuff in the parks, and have a whole cabinet of them.

Sorry if this has been asked, but for those of you who got resort (hotel) items when a resort was being refurbished, how did you procure these items? I feel like I have seen some of this stuff on ebay in the past, but I am wondering if there are other places?

As far as my Disney-ified home, I don't have anything too over the top. We do have a toy, remote control monorail that we still plan to display in a fun way one day. I do want it to go around our Christmas tree when DD is a little older.

And speaking of DD, her nursery has all the prints that Shag did for Disneyland's 50th and the print he did for WDW's 40th on her wall. I love the style of his art because it has a retro feel. There are other elements to her room that are not Disney, so it creates a more subtle Disney-esque room. I do have some vintage ears and souvenirs that I would like to put in shadow boxes or display. If DD ends up being a Disney park nut like me, maybe we will add them to her room one day.

LuvClarice, your house is beautiful. Where did you get that Mickey toilet seat, it is awesome. Also in your kitchen, the wall paper you have on the back of your hutch, where did you get that, I love it, it has many different characters on it? Thank you in advance for your help.:goodvibes

We have a lot of Disney dinnerware...it started with cute plastic stuff we used casually, then I found a nice china set so it's a nightly thing now to see Goofy's face under my macaroni.
I have tried to keep the decorating in the house non-Disney, although we have photos from trips all around.
My dd's room started out girly, then evolved into princess, and now Tangled rules the theme. Just about every toy you see is Disney related too...we could open a Disney store in there. I can add photos if anyone wants to see.

I am a first grade teacher and I made my classroom theme Disney this year! Mostly Mickey and Minnie...my students love it!
I raided my kids stuffed animals and display them on shelves and used red and white polka dot border.
Makes me happy to come to school each day

my adult kids claim there is no wall in my house that doesn't have something disney related upon it:)

among my 'treasures'

two old production cells of mickey & donald, circa mid 50's i won in an art auction

signed/numbered litho pin set of donald

bradford plates

several lithos with first day US stamp issues, Alice & the Cheshire cat is a good one

framed four park commemorite coin set

lots of snowglobes, haunted mansion one especially, i rotate them with the seasons.

arrabis crystal figures, again donald is my fav

holiday themed jim shore figurines, gifted to me over the years

choice pins mounted in several shadow boxes

various garden statues

sofa mirror over couch in LR, black with cut out mickey heads that i bought on disneyshopping

I go with artwork, mostly. We have some really nice, limited-edition stuff hanging in the livingroom. Even a couple CM exclusives! We also really like those lighted, picture-box things. Think they're beautiful. Our bathroom is all Mickey, and I manage to sneak some smaller things into other rooms when DW isn't looking!

I have things scattered all over my house, but this is my favorite:
puzzle1.jpg

It was a family project. The one on the left is a large 300 piece puzzle of Tim Rogerson artwork. I love the image. There is so much to see. My favorite is the hitchhiking ghosts in Mickey's nose. We put the puzzle together as a family and then I had it framed.

I paired it with the two prints I got for staying in BLT on opening day.

I smile every time I see it.
