How have you Disney-ified your home? (souveniers thread)

I love everything that you have done so far to your home, and I really like what you are planning on doing to (I love subtle touches like the ones you did especially the Alice in Wonderland room). I do want to ask about your Mickey Christmas wreath, I have bought ornaments and such to make my own Disney Christmas wreath, but was originally thinking of just placing them on a regular round one, however I love the Mickey head wreath that you have hanging....did you buy that Mickey wreath and then just decorated it yourself, or did you make the wreath?

Thanks! We actually made this one it is pretty big (if you try to compare to the chairs size you can get a better idea). We just bought the three wreaths, just make sure you buy them together so you get a better idea of the sizes you need. Bought some green wire and DH put it together. It is pretty sturdy I have stored it two years together and it hasn't come apart. For the lights we bough some battery operated lights (i believe I have 5 sets of 30 in this wreath, they didn't have longer ones). Again DH attached the battery packs with the green wire and you can't see it. For the ornaments we place them every year. Some are very delicate I don't want them to break. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thank you so much for the info. I am definitely going to be making my own Mickey Head wreath :yay:. I'll let you know how it turns out :goodvibes.

After these pictures now, I am definitely on my way!

I LOVE your Steamboat Willie statue! :-)

Great job!

EDIT: This post was aimed at iluvwdw after their latest pics, apologies the iPhone app wouldn't let me quote their pics.

The nursery is really cute and unique! Great job!

I love all the pics on this thread and clever ideas to go along with them. DISers are very creative!

We decided to do our daughter's nursery in a classic Mickey Mouse theme. Of course, not much is sold for nurseries in the classic red/white/black/yellow scheme so a lot of things in the room were handmade.

I also have to give credit to DIS poster LittleMissMagic (see post #9 in this thread) for the MM hands/pants/head/shoe frame idea. I couldn't find the plates she used in her room, but they did have silicone cutting mats in those shapes. I just lined the back of the cutting boards with white scrapbook paper using mod podge to make them opaque.

The second picture is a closeup of the subway art I made with black canvas and my cricut. There's one canvas each for WDW, DL, and Disney Movies - then they're filled with our favorites in each!

This nursery is amazing! Your baby is one lucky person! I love how it's so well coordinated and thought out!

Well nothing quite like alot of the photos on here...which are all fantastic! But we do have a Christmas tree that is all Disney. And my home office is DIsney head to toe( I have my own travel business so I can justify all of it I guess!) and my scrapbooking/craft room is all DIsney. And my 3 year old has a Disney Princess room complete with Cinderellas castle that I had painted to cover one entire wall!

Wow, you guys have some amazing collections.

I need some help with my Christmas ornaments. I don't have a tree, but I would still like to display them somehow. Last year I had them in my Windows but it didn't look that good. So how do display your ornaments, if you don't put them on the tree????

My kitchen is red, black and white and Mickey! :thumbsup2 And my bathroom is all Nemo!!! Nemo has been my absolute fave since it came out, so the bathroom has been Nemo for years. But I love it too much to change it! :goodvibes

Well, I do love my red and white Tinkerbell Christmas Tree skirt, but I'm actually just bumping this up in the hopes of seeing more photos of Disney-fied houses. :)

Well, Walt Disney World helped me decorated every room in my house, then last year we had a house fire. Now I have to start all over again. I won't be able to replace most of it but it will be fun going to Disney World to buy new.

We have a Disney themed item in just about every room of our house. Anything from movie posters to stick on wall art to Thomas Kinkade Disney collection paintings. Yes even in our bathrooms - Disney Vinylmations on chair rail/wainscoating ledge, bathrobes etc.

There's no room in the house that has any significant number of Disney decorations, but I'm currently renovating a family room with a rustic theme that is inspired by the decor at Wilderness Lodge :)

DD6 has a Stitch room, with appropriate shade of blue walls, several Stitch prints, posters, lithographs, autographed photos, her Stitch-themed artwork, and about 2 dozen stuffed stitches. We have a Mickey bathroom, a small world bathroom, and a Stitch bathroom. DS9 has a Perry room, with Perry posters, bedspread, and stuffed animals. He picked "Main Street Lights" a buttery yellow for his wall color from the Home Depot Disney Paint collection.

Downstairs bathroom- Minnie and Mickey hawaiin themed with pics of them on the beach infront of the castle, beach buckets says Polynesian. Also Mickey and Minnie in grass skirts surrounded by tiki torches.. I'd like to think they are on the pathway to the luau at the Poly! Lol

Living Room- has a Walt Disney Quote stenciled in the wall about making dreams come true, pirate ship snow globe in entertainment center. Pic of family at 1900 PF. Disney crystal in curio. Mickey pillows on couches.

My home office- I'm a Disney TA and its painted sparkly gold with kacky and dark brown zebra rug, Sorcer of the Seas poster, original ride poster of POTC, Larry Dotson print of Poly, pic of evil queen, maleficent and my Disney College of Knowledge certificate. Bookcase has MK, EP plates and my collector pins I received after become Disney TA and pics of my family in Epcot. My computer screen saver is Cruella!

Stairs also have family pics taken in Wdw and on the Disney Fantasy.

Kitchen- Mickey towels that match pillows inviting room, Mickey pot holders hung on wall. Mickey trivet on island.

Christmas- my tree is all Disney!

We have some snow globes, set-arounds, kitchen accessories, and Christmas ornaments. But my favorite Disney swag is the cross-stitches that my wife makes. She has done one of Tinkerbell and the castle, plus two of the patterns based on Thomas Kinkade prints (Snow White and Cinderella) and is working on another.

Wow, how awful! I'm so sorry that happened to you. Good luck on your new collection!
