How far out can you book airfare???

How far out can you book airfare?? Is it a year? Last trip I booked somewhere between 6-7 months before the trip as I had found a awesome airfare. Just wondering when I should start watching for the next trip!

Most airlines are 330 days I think. There are some (Southwest) that are much shorter.

For the major airlines(Continental,US Air,Delta,etc) you can book 330 days out.
For the smaller airlines it is around 6 months out.
