How far of a walk is it from the parking lot to the gates at AK?

We are going to be in Disney World Easter Week (March 31st - April 4th). How close is it to park and walk to the gates at the Animal Kingdom?

There are trams that run you to the gate. I was there this past weekend and was in the first row of cars to arrive and we walked about 5 minutes to get to the gate.

Depends on where you end up, if you get there early and park close, maybe 5 minutes, it wasn't worth waiting for the tram for us, we just walked.

It's not that far. Of course that does depend on where you parked. If you arrive first thing, then it's less than 5 minutes away.

Later in the day, I would wait for the tram.

I am guessing that the first row of cars is about the length of two football fields from the turnstiles.
