How easy is it to make this RX mistake?

Generally, when I get 20 pills to cover something like a kidney stone, kidney infection (I'm prone to kidney problems), or something else I end up with pain pills still sitting around in a drawer a year later. I never finish the whole allotment when they're first subscribed. I may later end up taking one or two if I get a migraine, but I have a pretty high pain threshold (in fact, the first time I had a kidney stone it was originally diagnosed as a kidney infection because "you weren't acting like you were in enough pain for it to be a stone.") I can't imagine being prescribed 100 pills.

So you gave your prescription meds to your brother?

yes, I did give them to him. I knew he could use them, it was the same dose he had gotten before for the pain and no insurance and the car insurace company was complaining about paying out.

Two last thoughts since mentioned: electronics are the way of the future in all aspects of medical care (hence the HIPPA put into place a few years back). I haven't seen a handwritten prescription in a very long time in either the hospital or in my personal care.
:flower3:

You reall don't see hand written ones anymore ? Every med I have ever gotten is hand written.

Well, it was handwritten.

The only computer-generated ones I have ever gotten were from the ER.
