How early to book?

How early should I make a reservation if I want to go next Thanksgiving? Can I do it now or should I wait until after the first of the year? Can I get flights now?

I think you should be able to book now, but more then likely you wont be able to book your air yet. If I were you I would book asap though. Might be busy for Thanksgiving.

I would book as soon as you can especially it being Thanksgiving. You can't book your airfare yet as it's more than a year out. I would check the airline that you would take and see how far out you can book your flights. Let us know how you make out.

You certanly CAN book now not air though. But be advised there are offers that come out much nearer the time and you should be looking out for codes later that you might apply to your reservation to save money.

I just booked a suite at the All Star resort for Jan. 2009 - they gave me the 2008 rates and let me know that it could go up a little, probably in the 10-15% range, but at least I have it booked, so you should be good to go, have fun ...

Reservations can be made with a CM at 499 days out. I personally make mine 10-14 months out and start making payments. By the time my trip arrives, i'm paid off in advance.

Flights, it's a toss up. We are leaving in 29 days, I watched the cost of flights and rental cars daily, I first looked at the airline that we use, Delta, and then looked for the flight that we wanted, normally, the earliest available on the day of departure, as we are morning people, but then who isn't when heading to WDW!!

I found the flight, and a price that I thought we could live with, at $208 per person, watched it daily, saw that the cost of that particular flight went down $40, until about a week ago and then the price SKYROCKTED!!!

My advice is pick your flight, when it gets to a comfortable price for you, book it and DON'T look at it again!! You'll know that you have your flight secured, and that's one little piece of the puzzle in place!!

If you're booking a rental car, I'd wait on that until the last minute as the price most likely will drop and you can save a little on that.
