How Early into World Showcase?

So if they say WS opens around 11, how early can we start walking around the lake? Do they block it off somehow?

Our plan is to head over to the "McDonald's" near Canada to get an early lunch before the crowds hit. Does anybody know what time they would open and begin serving?

The WS is blocked off from the back entrance, over the bridge by France. They have the part by England and Canada open so that guests staying in the Boardwalk area can enter Epcot via the back entrance. When we came into Epcot last week at 9:00 am via the back entrance, nothing was open in the part of the WS that we walked thru. My guess is that everything opens at 11:00 as advertised.

You can get to the Mac's , but not really sure of it would be up and running. I would think so, but I guess I'd have a back up food choice in mind. DS loves that stand....it kilss me, all the food choices at WS and he's eatng McNuggets. .. Oh well...at least he's eating!
